My goals for 2010:
1) Reach native fluency in German.
I'm gonna stick to only one language this year. I learned from my bad experience last year with German and French.

My goals for 2010 are working more on my Arabic and resuming Persian and Turkish again. If I manage all this I would like to start Ottoman Turkis and Devanagari script.

My goal for the year is to move from near advanced fluency in Spanish to advanced fluency. As the means to get there, I will finish working through FSI (I am on 44 now, and have all lessons to 55), then review again the exercises and rework them, from mid 30s on. I will work though a great book I have on the subjunctive form, and will do a lot of more listening of native language materials (mostly interviews and news programs, on you tube and Democracy Now. In terms of process goals, I will spend at least 15 hours a week on these an other tasks, with a minimum of 45 minutes a day, on my most busy days. I also need to improve my written Spanish-it is part of what stops me from referring to myself as already at the advanced fluent level (that, and lack of mastery over some important grammatical structures).
Luckily, I have several trips to Latin America planned for this year, which will serve as motivation.
Oh, last thing, I am using an online Spanish flashcard program, and will try to use it to work on my vocabulary as well. Not sure if what I think of this method yet, but I it provides some variety at least.

My burning language-related goal for 2010 is to reach at least intermediate competency (somewhere between B1 and B2) in Finnish.
I met a couple of Finns last night at a New Year's party, and in-between my halting mix of Estonian and Finnish, I resolved that I would improve my Finnish within this year to the point where I could speak to them properly in their native tongue.
