2009 was a good language year (learnt so much Spanish from scratch!). In 2010 I just want
to upkeep my 3 languages. I'm doing pretty well, though it's very casual... ie. reading
L2 books in the bathroom :)
I'd like to finally start meeting people to chat with in L2 via Skype. Already chatting
by text on Livemocha. Oh and on the off chance I get an internship in Stockholm I guess
I'll be learning some Swedish (more than the swears I already learnt)!

French: C1 (hopefully C1+)
Russian: B2
MAYBE, start studying a fifth language through French (Assimil). Either Japanese,
German, Turkish or Portuguese not idea. :P

Refined goal: Better than an average native speaker for French.
Under a years time. Using all Assimil, my own modified L-R method, and French in Action. Fluent as in, being able to do on the fly translation to and from French/English. Being able to participate in any situation, known and unknown. This is going to be so much fun.

My goals for 2010 :) =
Getting to native or almost native fluency in English ( I'm already quite good, but I want to get better).
Other than that, getting to basic fluency in Spanish, being able to read a book in Spanish and understand, let's say, around 70% of it, listen and understanding Spanish movies without subtitles and maybe start thinking of another language for the future.

Many goals this year!
1. Maintain French and Spanish.
2. Reach "advanced fluency" in German. Hopefully I can visit Germany this year.
3. Read more classical Arabic texts.
4. Finish the Princeton Russian course.
5. Understand the Chinese writing system.
6. Finish Italian audio CD's. Reach a basic fluency in Italian.
