Heh, quite a pity they don't have more of the Hebrew Bible. It's a lot more interesting as mythology/mythologized history for those who are not followers of an Abrahamic religion.

I can't believe I haven't seen this before, thank you so much for presenting this - I'll
spend lots of time "shopping around" in this museum!

There are now 462 languages organized and cataloged both geographically and by language family, as I have added both the 10 new ones produced in April and about 20 more that I found from other sources.

1000 languages! Freaking amazing!

Pity, pity, they don't have subtitles -- but then again, it wouldn't be hard to rig the
English (or your native) version to play the audio with a slight delay and serve at least
as reference for the meaning while watching a foreign language version.

If there is interest, I could post up a list of chapters in the NT which might be more
fun to listen to (for most people) than the first part of Matthew 1. There are a
number of well-known sections (Prodigal Son, Good Samaritan, Golden Rule, the Love
chapter, Christmas story) which have often been referenced in some form in Western
literature and culture for centuries that might be of general interest.

Yes please. List of fun chapters would be great. And as someone who has never read the
Bible, I am most grateful for your post because I have always wanted to read the
interesting bits, as some parts of the Bible sound quite dramatic and fascinating. I
was forced to read Sermon on the Mount in college and it was one of the most boring
experiences of my educational history.

Probably I've missed something, but I haven't been able to work out which version they're using. Does anyone know or better still have a link to it?

The audio bibles are now on iTunes, which is a relief because I've spent weeks trying to
download the last 4 MB of the Javanese Bible. Just search for "Faith comes by hearing".
