Welcome to my log...
My goals with this log : Writing as much as possible and as often as possible... I'm especially focussing on Italian and German... Am I trying to reach any CEFR levels? Well... Sometime ago, I would have said "yes"... I thought about taking some certification exams such as CELI 3 in Italian, ZD in German, CAE in English, etc. but I dont anymore! I just realized this kind of exam is far too expensive, I really cant afford it.... So, here's what I'm gonna do... I'm going to write in each language (that doesnt mean: every language will be used each day!!) about whatever subject... and we'll see... Background : ITALIAN: Learned it in december 1998 using ASSIMIL La mia lingua preferita !! Quella del cuore e quella de.. (Well!! This is a personnal matter guys !!! :D) ESPAGNOL: Learned it in january 1999 using VOCABLE (french method) studying 8/10h per day ENGLISH: Learned it at school (since French schools are so bad with languages, I had to go back to square one and learn it from scratch, especially concerning the listening/speaking part) GERMAN : Learned it at school The worst thing that happened to me... I was quite bilingual at the age of 10/11... I lost everything... thanks to french programs !! Then, I never used it anymore... focussing on English at the University... Problem: I so love this language (I recently discovered that hearing German women speaking was kind of erotic !!:D) I'm not beginning from scratch of course, but I do have a lot of work in front of ... my desk!! DUTCH : I have to learn it, I want to learn it and god, I will learn it !! I want to be able to follow from A to Z everything Ton Sijbrands is speaking about !! (Ton Sijbrands : draughts world champion in 1972/73) PORTUGUESE: When I first learn Italian and Spanish, it was partly because being a french native speaker, I thought it would be stupid not to try to master the roman languages... But at that time - dont know why - I never thought about learning portuguese... Now, I do... Just so you know: be patient before I leave my first post in portuguese !! I'm concentrating on audio right now and not on writing... GREEK: I love the language, the sound of the language... and god knows it's the country everything started from !! I will put some internet links in this post in the future... be patient... Feel free to leave comments and to correct my posts if you're a native teacher !! So: Glückliches Neujahr !!!!! Adesso, parliamo un po' Italiano....
Come si impara una lingua? io, l'italiano, l'ho imparato da solo... Questo sembra normale in un foro come questo, ma c'è gente che stupisce questo modo di imparare... Basta con egli, non m'interessano!!! Allorà ! Io sono francese... Si vede ? :D Forse, si... Bè, dunque, visto che sono francese, a un certo punto, ho deciso di imparare l'italiano e lo spagnolo... Sono lingue romane e mi sembrava cosi' evidente di impare le lingue che assomigliano a la mia... Quindi, un giorno di dicembre 1998 (ma quanto sono vecchio io!!! non è possibile di essere cosi' vecchio!!) ho deciso di comminciare a imparare l'italiano... Sono andato nella mia biblioteca che aveva Assimil colle cassette (le cassette? ma sono vecchissimo, allorà!!) e cosi' ho cominciato a imparare questa belle lingua... Alla fine del mese di dicembre, potevo parlare Italiano con chiunque... Purtroppo, mi rendo conto adesso che il mio metodo, a questo punto, non era cosi' perfetto... Non ho mai più utilizzato Assimil per imparare una lingua... Perchè? Eh, andiamo allora con la storia di Assimil!! E vero che questo metodo e fantastica perchè ci sono tante lingue che si puo' imparare, almeno 60 credo, forse di più!! Ma c'è qualcosa che non va: al principio, sono cosi' lenti (lentissimi!!) i dialoghi... Ho sempre pensato che si deve imparare una lingua in un modo normale... Voglio dire con un ritmo di parole normale... E dunque, quando ho deciso di imparare lo spagnolo, ho scoperto il metodo francese VOCABLE... Con questo metodo, si puo' ascoltare dei testi letti da chi è spagnolo, ma sopratutto c'è questo dialogo tra un invitato e il - diciamo cosi'! - giornalista... Ed io ho comminciato ad ascoltare questi dialoghi, ancora, ancora e ancora, a ripetergli finche gli sapevo da memoria... Per esempio, quando facevo la coda (si dice cosi??) aspettando per comprare il mio pane (o qualunque attività dove si deve aspettare) stavo per recitare i dialoghi nella mia testa... Quindi, le parole si sono iscritte nella mia mente ed eravano cosi' disponibile ogni volta che avevo bisogno di usarle... Lo spagnolo, l'ho imparato tra januario (il 4) e febbruario (il 3) 1999... Ho studiato 10 ore al giorno (in questo momento non avevo il lavoro!!) Mi sono sempre detto che mai ricomincero' questo !! Era come un droga di studiare cosi' tanto ogni giorno, ma alla fine "ero alle sguanciole" (si dice cosi, no?? non ne potevo più!) Basta con questo oggi!! Sono ammalatto da tre giorni, non dormo più e la testa mi fa male !!! Ci vediamo domani !! Ciao !! Due anni fa, ho letto "come si fa una tesi di laurea?" da Umberto Eco... Si trattava di spiegare a chi vuole fare una tesi quali erano le cose importante e le cose minore... Quindi, U. Eco ha dedicato un capitolo speciale alle lingue...Lui scrive in questa parte che , secondo lui, gli studenti che vorrebero fare la tesi dovrebbero imparare almeno l'inglese, il tedesco, lo spagnolo e il francese... finalemente, quando si pensa, queste lingue sono spesso citate: il francese, l'inglese, l'italiano, il tedesco e lo spagnolo... forse ci vorrebbe aggiungere il portoguese che serve anche molto... Ma insomma ci vediamo che sono pochi gli autori di libri universitari a citare dei fonti in ungarese, ollandese o danese !!
Forse perchè se osserviamo queste sei lingue, quindi il francese, l'inglese, l'italiano, il tedesco, lo spagnolo e il portoguese si vede che contengono una bel parte de la storia europea e anche del mondo... Ma io vorrei aggiungere l'ollandese (dutch!)... Secondo me è molto importante di conoscere questa lingua, almeno per me ! Sono interessato da tanti anni con il periodo 1630-1730 e in questo periodo, i relazioni tra Francia, Spagna, Germania (non mica tanto!), Inghilterra e Provincie Uniti sono cosi stretti che si deve conoscere le lingue di questi paesi per essere in grado di capire qualcosa e di leggere i libri scritti da chi parla questa lingua... Come dico sempre: impara una lingua e potrai vivere in due mondi impara più di due e il mondo sara tuo !! A domani... DEUTSCH :
Seit zwei Wochen habe Ich YouTube anschauen. Also, die Folge von "Lady Oscar"... Das war wirklich eine sehr wichtige Übung, sowie habe Iche mein Deutsch ausüben. übrigens, habe Ich keine Zeit verloren, denn letzte Nacht habe Ich auf Deutsch getraümt !! Fabelhaft, ne? Und die Theme gefällt mir sehr, denn Ich kenne sie schon gut: die franzözische Revolution... Lady Oscar Ich habe gar nichts mein Deutsch ausüben seit... viele Jahre. Aber jetzt will Ich Fortschritte machen. Der Vokabeln steht doch ziemlich kurz !! Aber alles wird bald zurückkommen, nicht wahr? So habe Ich entscheidet eine deutsche Prüfung zu erobern. Ich habe ja mal die Website (??) von Goethe angucken, und es gibt jetzt eine C1-Prüfung. Aber damals gab es die ZMP, die nicht mehr gibt. So, Ich glaube dass, die damals ZMP die jetzt C1-Termine ist oder? Aber C1 ist vielleicht ein bisschen zu viel. Ich muss wirklich noch viele Wörter einzueignen, und die mündliche Prüfung soll Ich auch ausüben, denn Ich seit soviele Jahre auf Deutsch nicht gesprochen habe... Auch hab'Ich einige Comis gefunden, nämlich "Tim und Struppi"... Wenn Du franzözisch bist, ist diese Comics nützig, denn Du kennst sie doch und brauchst gar nicht einen Wörterbuch eröffnen!!! Ich glaube dass, wenn man von Bücher spricht, es drei Typen gibt, die sehr nützlich sind : Der Bibel (soviele Übersetzungen !!! Die Religion ist doch kein Problem, Ich konzentriere mich nur auf dem Text !!) -> A.Arguelles foreignexpertise museum Die Comics die man als Junge gelesen hat, wie z.B "Tim und Struppi" : für diese gibt es , glaube Ich, zwischen 20 und 30 verschiedene Sprache : in diesem Fall, was gut ist, ist dass, man dieselbe Vokabeln kriegen kann!!! -> Tim und Struppi 'Abenteuer Die Fernsehsendungen wie "cartoons" (wie sagt man auf Deutsch eigentlich?), denn man sie, als Junge auch anschauen hat, and sind dafür leicht (??Ummh!!) zu einverstanden!! Today I tried to keep up with "my languages"... I wont probably add no more language on my list anymore (at least before I mastered this ones at a proficiency/colloquial level): DUTCH :15' Listening/Repeating Keeping up with the 2nd audio lesson (namely :n°42 of the book Le néerlandais d'aujourd'hui en 90 leçons) Learning it by listening only... pretty exhausting as usual.... GREEK :15' Listening/repeating : lessons 15 to 25 of the french method: Le grec Tout de Suite (good work though) ROMANIAN : 58' Listening : mostly listening (didnt repeat anything) romanian lessons (french/romanian) SPANISH : 12' Shadowing an interview of the french method VOCABLE (an old dialog I got recorded on an audio tape)... It comes back !!!! GERMAN :35' Reading : - 3 pages on wikipedia about "Tim und Struppi" (namely the sump-up of three albums - going on with "Tim un Struppi" Abenteuer Listening : to YouTube (LadyOscar) (see post beyond) RUSSIAN : 30' Listening : radio Radio Svoboda ENGL : As always... reading a lot on the forum, but not improving much (I have to learn new words!!) PORTG : 35' First day of work though... So far I watched You Tube during ten days... I could understand most of it, but it was pure phonetics... 3 moscaoteros ITAL: 45' (and more...) Hallo! Du hast mir geholfen velleicht kann ich renvoi d'ascenseur ;)
So habe ich mich entschieden, eine Deutsch-Prüfung abzulegen. Ich habe mir die Seite von Goethe bereits angeschaut... Hmmmmm Die ZMP Zentral Mittelstufenprüfung gibt's nicht mehr?? Komisch :) Ich habe den TestDaf. Das ist C1, glaube ich.
Wenn du Franzose bist, dann sind die Comics nützlich, weil du sie schon kennst und von daher brauchst du kein Wörterbuch zu öffnen / aufzuschlagen.

Danke sehr für die Korrectionnen Sunja... Also, für die ZMP bin Ich nicht so sicher. Ich habe die ZOP auf der Seite des Goethe-Institut gesehen, aber nicht die ZMP... Es scheint, Goethe C1 ist eine neue Prüfung und deshalb hat die ZMP verschwunden... Also, noch einmal, vielleicht bin Ich falsch oder vielleicht habe Ich falsch gesehen...

THis site says the ZMP is the same as the C1. It's confusing, but the Goethe-Institut is probably changing all the "old" names/tests in order to fit the European norms (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
I have "Die Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache (ZDaF)" (das gab es früher in den neunziger Jahren) and it's not recognized anymore at all. It's useless and I couldn't communicate much with it when I got to Germany! Old Goethe-Institut tests and the CEFR Die Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache (A2-B1?) Die Zentral Mittelstufenprüfung (now C1) Die Zentral Oberstufenprüfung (now C2) Die Zentral Mittelstufenprüfung probably still only exists in Germany, everywhere else in Europe it's the C1.
