One day we'll both be able to just sit back and watch Russian movies comfortably with a
bag of popcorn. Всё будет хорошо! :)

I like this idea! Five years from now, we can arrange a big get-together and watch non-
subtitled movies in all the languages we know. B)

A polyglot picture-fest! Just imagine the possibilities...a week of your favourite foreign language flicks, from from Bergman to Kurosawa. This one's definitely going on my "things-to-do" list. :D

I wish I were there right now - it's a fantastic city! I'm currently back in UK, having spent the last couple of years in Germany, but I do occasionally pop over to St Petersburg as that's my girlfriend's hometown (or close enough).

QUICK UPDATE

I've been out of the picture these last few weeks due to illness, but now I'm happy to report that I'm slowly back on the path to recovery and looking forward to hitting the language trail soon again.

Nu, pogodi! - Day 17

Study-and-click: 2.2 hours (66.2 total)
Current text: Евгений Замятин, "Мы"
New words clicked whilst listening and reading: 205 (4,223 total)
New words clicked whilst listening only: 177 (3,589 total)
Current estimated reading level: B1

A gentle start to the week after a month's absence from study...and I won't deny that it felt good to dust off the cobwebs and crank the motors today. :)

@Volte
Thanks for the encouragement, and also for that great link back in December - very much appreciated. :)

At the moment I still have to use a mobile key whilst waiting for O2 to hook me up to the internet properly (hopefully it'll all be set up later this month). For some bizarre reason, this plays havoc with most of my settings and timeouts, which means that I can't simply click on a user's profile, collection of posts, or even "Active Topics" to catch up on what's going on in the forum from day to day. So apologies if I've somehow missed your recent logs or posts, as I'd be really interested to hear about your language plans for this year and how you're getting on.

I also tried to pass you on my email address a couple of times, by the way, but despite putting in a request, it looks like no-one got round to fixing that "full inbox" bug from last year. So if you're still interested, please feel free to drop by Travels with Teango anytime and get in touch there.
