Nice, Elexi. And I don't have "Le -=Nouvel=- Allemand Sans Peine" either.

Actually, I have La Pratique de Allemand, but no audio. I bought it at
estantevirtual(dot)com(dot)br (about US$ 15).

Isn't the English base German with Ease (your third photo'd book) the English version of Le Nouvel
Allemand sans peine? So in that case you have it. I have been looking for the records to La Pratique for
years on eBay, withou luck - given the whole of my edition is printed in gothic type it would probably take a
long time to get through...

FWIW, I've been very happy with the only two Assimil books I've used: Le Chinois sans peine, and Le nouveau russe sans peine. In both cases, I'd already been through all three levels of the Pimsleur course, and had used some other books before I hit Assimil (I only discovered Assimil recently), and I haven't made much use of the audio in either course. But I'd labored with Chinese books where it was sometimes laborious to track down a character for which I knew neither meaning nor pronunciation, and with Russian books where either the content was based on the USSR of the 1950s, or the English translation of the dialogues was loose and half the new vocabulary wasn't in the glossary. With Assimil, the translation is always right there with the dialogue, and, in the case of Chinese, so is the pinyin. Some of the content is corny, but mostly it's entertaining enough, and the cartoons adds a little spice.

Plus, I enjoyed working with the French versions, and may take up some Assimil courses in other languages -- maybe El Japones sin Esfuerzo. Assimil Japanese gets relatively low ratings on this thread, and I'm curious how much of that is the quality of the material, and how much the difficulty of the language (for me, at least, it's significantly less friendly than Mandarin).

I'm currently using "Assimil Dutch With Ease" and I'm loving it! The best material for Dutch I've found so far, together with Michel Thomas Dutch.

Hey, thanks for that. I bought them and they are now being transferred to my computer -
very good they are too - and they contain old German songs, bonus!

Hey, nice. I want to buy it also. If you find another, please, tell me.
