My site is ready - the registration is not automatized and will not be but this leads to a delay for the first use only - no more than 48 hours I hope - probably a lot less.

I don't add any social feature - users could share data with export and import option - I could create shared accounts to help with sharing.

So far I do not host or link to 1.4.3

I host 1.4.0 that I use myself and 1.0.0 and 1.3.0 as demos - I will install 1.4.3 for new users unless user demands another version.

What you get on my site is exactly what you get if you install lwt on your computer - but online - you get your own url looking like http://lwt-online.tk/something/ login and password.

That doesn't sound very scalable. The whole reason I need to go through debugging is precisely because my system is automatic and instant.

But keep up the good work otherwise.

I really don't understand why you supply old versions with less features and more bugs...

I recommend NOT to use or to supply such old versions. But in fact you can do what you want... NO SUPPORT
from my side.

My recommendation for all serious language learners is to install a LOCAL version of LWT as explained in
http://lwt.sf.net

Only with a local installation you will have the BEST/FASTEST performance, and you will have the BEST control
over your valuable data.

I agree with you a lot - but bugs are not very important it is possible to learn with all versions. Once I am happy with the version I use I will probably not update it unless something new comes in new version and I want this new feature.

I think language learners prefer learning languages than using the last version.

People could start testing the 1.0.0 where there is less options - then testing 1.3.0 then get the last version. This way they are able to test options step by step and admire your work.

I am in a specific situation where the online version is more quick than my offline one because my computer get slow because the lack of free disk space.

--- Hahaha!

I think most people (me including) will find it annoying to report or read about bugs in an old version that has
been already fixed.

I'm sorry, but I am unable to support the older versions you've installed. I am also unable to support Benny's
special version. I can only accept bug reports of users who are running the latest version I have released.
Everything else is a waste of time.

The future:
In the next months there won't be any new features.
Maybe some bug fixes if there is a major problem, but I don't expect that.

--- So LWT 1.4.x is the last release for quite a longer time period. ---

1.4.4 has been released today. It fixes a problem with backslash input on some servers.

Changelog of the last 4 releases:

1.4.4 (September 23 2011): Changed the handling of backslash removal in posted data on servers with
magic_quotes_gpc = Off. Documentation updated.

1.4.3 (September 21 2011): Changed some unintentionally written short PHP open tags "<?" to "<?php". Thanks
to a poster in the help forum for pointing this out.

1.4.2 (September 19 2011): Removed PGUP/PGDN key bindings (mark first/last non-blue term, use HOME/END
keys). Some minor changes in the documentation.

1.4.1 (September 15 2011): Anki Export changed. The full sentence doesn't have brackets anymore.
Data in Anki template updated.

http://lwt-online.tk does not seem to work anymore. The problem with all these free hosters are the limitations and
that you never know if the site still runs and your data still exist the other day ...

Hello,

I first wanted to thank you for this program, it is wonderful.

I was also wondering if anyone had come up with a good way to produce lists of common words that would make for nice "pre-loaded" dictionaries. While I find looking up words can be a good aid to learning them if they are brand new, it can also be a touch tedious, especially if one's internet is not working, and having a preloaded dictionary might speed things up. I have considered that it might be possible to construct a program to do it, but I haven't really hashed that through in my mind yet.

Otherwise, just wanted to say thanks again, I really appreciate the work and generosity that went into this and I enjoy using it.
