I'm definitely up for a French/German team.   So far, it looks like
expressions of interest from oziohume and Bjorn and I don't believe we have heard from
cavesa yet. I agree there are likely to be more who may be interested in joining as
well, as these are awesome languages!

My only hesitation in putting myself forward for a team relates to some possible
limitation on my time availability to study and post during the middle two weeks in
January and from mid-March to early May), but otherwise I am very keen.

I'd be very up for a French and German team, too. Skimming through this thread, I have
myself, Spanky, oziohume, Cavesa, Bjorn and possibly Jinx, if she chooses to join, down
as studying French and German and possibly wanting to form a team around this.

PS - I also have a thread drafted basically outlining that information formally. If the
people concerned would let me know what they think, I'll post it.

Jack

Not a problem, myself are going abroad for a month in January with limited internet.

Just keep the spirit.

And travel light, armed with Assimil,mp3-player,Kindle and iPhone with apps, I manage to study a lot on travels.

Yikes, sorry Jack! I had overlooked your earlier post. This is coming together nicely, and it would be awesome to snag Jinx in as well for the team if we can. If you have something drafted, I would be interested in seeing it.

Cheers.

Would anyone like to form a Polish study team? (any level - I'd be a total beginner)

I still have a lot of work to do on my other languages, and I'll keep that log separate and probably out of the TAC
challenge, but another place on the forum to begin learning the Polish language would be great motivation! By
myself, I don't feel quite ready just yet, but I think that with others, I could give it a try.

I'd be up for there being a solid and motivated group of Polish learners if we can get the numbers. That would be
great! In either case though, team or not, I'll be learning Polish next year as will continuing to be a few others
(Mooby, Homogenic) so you should do it regardless! There will be people around in similar shoes to you and always
willing to help where they can and keep you motivated. If you decide to give it a go and need some materials, let me
know. Naraźka!

I have decided to participate - I would like to join the Romance + Slavic Team. I will be studying Polish, Spanish, and Latin. I am fairly advanced in Polish, so if anyone needs assistance, I will help out as often as my schedule permits.

I know we have many excellent and dedicated Polish learners/speakers here and I'd be honored to receive any assistance and encouragement available. I've heard it's a difficult one.

Since I will be a raw newcomer to Slavic languages, I thought I might try keeping that part of my studies somewhat separate for now. I don't mean to make any amazing progress with it yet, but it would be great to get started, and if we can assemble a group of us, count me in!

I've been working on the other languages on my present list, and I'll continue, but I'm not so sure that the language log idea I have for them right now is TAC-compatible. It's been delayed due to family issues, but the longer I wait to begin it, the weirder it gets . . . so Polish should probably be kept as normal as possible, at least in the beginning.

So, anyone else? You can belong to more than one team!

I would be happy to join a Polish team - Polish is my favorite language ever.

No problem. Have sent the draft to you via PM. Am looking forward to a productive new
year of French, German and smatterings of Latin.
