Of the twenty members of The Romantics, all but four have either posted something in February, or given a shout
in
this thread to say they're still active. Excluding those of you who've given a virtual wave in this thread, two of the
sixteen who posted in February last did so on or before Feb 5. One more did so on the 15th, and everyone else
(myself included) seems to have been spurred back into action, updating logs within the last few days.

So - depending on how far back you're tallying, there are approx. four to six Romantics missing in action. Not
quite as discouraging as having only 11 left out of 21. (Did I miscount? I thought there were only 20 on the list?)

Of course, the "missing" ones could be quietly studying away, rather than checking/answering in the forum....

- Songlines (procrastinating rather than studying).

Great to see some activity here :) I'm definitely still in, just trying to figure out how to juggle the amount of language I want to do with starting a new degree and a new job at the same time! Now if I could just get over my shyness and open my mouth to speak some French, life would be perfect!

I'm still here. Feeling guilty for not updating my log, but here.

In fact, I haven't been updating my log because I chose a style that takes too long. I guess I'll switch to a lighter one.

I've been following this thread and also found a bit strange the lack of... rallying, shall we say? But being new to this, I guessed it was supposed to be like that. It's nice to find that's not the case.

*cue start of Public Service Announcement*

I recently stumbled upon a big collection of resources (videos, transcripts, learning plans) from Five Colleges (Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst) that was just too good to keep in relative anonymity in my log or the "Links and Resources" sub-forum. I think that the links could be handy for any of you want some practice with L-R or to see and hear the language as used in basic situations (certainly more focused than looking on YouTube)

For your purposes, here are the links to the material in French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish

Hey guys, is it too late for me to join?

If not, I'm a Spanish student teetering on the edge of A1, looking to progress to B1 by
the year's end.

This is my log thread, though it's bare as of now. My next class is on Wednesday and
we're beginning a new chapter then, so expect my first update around then. Looking
forward to progressing with you guys!

Thanks Mani. I wonder, what's the general protocol with these? Do we kinda keep updated
with all the people who we share languages with or does everybody kinda do their own
thing?

Either way, it's good to be on here. Updated my log today and am in the process of
setting up Anki for the first time.
