So sorry to hear about your recent loss, Kat. It sounds like you're going through a tough time right now, and I really hope life starts throwing some more sunshine your way soon. Big hug from across the pond!

Thanks for the condolences, everyone. As I already said, interacting with you all helps more than you know.
I must admit I have been neglecting my languages this week, although I have found some odd comfort in my Finnish
dabbling right before bed.
On a happier note, I had a meeting with my German professor to discuss my academic plans for Berlin, and she
recommended that I take a German major (that is, in addition to my current International Politics major--I'll be
double-majoring). I've decided I'm going to do it!
So, basically, I've been officially invited into the German Dept. a fact which makes me really happy because, for one,
I just adore our German Dept. here, I love the language, and it's also interesting for me because it sorts of
documents on-paper my language nerdiness.

A German major sounds so cool! Good for you, you're double-majoring ! :) I'm sure it's a
huge step towards your career goals, and a fulfilling place to be where you can curb your
language nerdiness ;) It's always great to be somewhere you love.
