DaraghM, if you want to show up in the leaderboard at http://6wc.learnlangs.com or get pretty statistics
about your learning, you have to use Twitter. The vast majority of participants doesso and finds it incredibly
motivating. However, it is not a requirement.

You can start late and consider May 1st a missed day but for this challenge you mustn't go over the 6
weeks. If it doesn't suit you to do a challenge at the moment, the next 6wc starts August 1st - they are
every 3 months, for a pattern that's roughly 6 weeks on 6 weeks off. Or you could at any moment
conceivably declare that you have set yourself a challenge for the next 6 weeks - that has nothing to do
with the official 6 Week Challenge though.

This is gonna be great, I'm really excited d=(´o`)=b

I plan on doing one language only and I'd love to see some statistics of how my time was devided up. I've read through the "How To.." Are there any other tags I can use besides #Anki? Is there a tag for L+R?

For that part you can invent your own tags. So I tag things #Assimil, #vocab, #grammar, #Pimsleur, etc. However, remember it is case sensitive, so if you tag one tweet #vocab, and another tweet #Vocab, they will be listed like two separate categories.

You can use any tags, anything that makes sense to you. For accurate stats, be consistent - LR, L+R, lr and listening-reading will all be considered different tags. (At least this was so last time. as far as I remember, Sprachprofi meant to change that in regards to lowercase/uppercase).

Thanks to you both, that's great news. That means a tweet could be "1 hour and 17 minutes #french, #lang-8"

I think I like this twitter-thing! ^^

How about if I first do 1 hour of Anki and then one hour of reading? Would I have to send
two tweets like this?:

@6WCBot I studied 1 hour of #Thai using #Anki today.

@6WCBot I #read 1 hour of #Thai today.

Or how else would this go?

#french,
and
#french
are probably different things, but I'm not sure. I suggest you don't take such risks.

This brings up another question I have:

Since I registered with multilingual, is this the tag I should use for all my entries, or can I also tag #pms with it, even though it's not a language the bot understands?

R.
