1. We all start and end at the same time, regardless of time zone.

2. It is not allowed to post after the challenge is over. Whatever you have studied must be registered before the deadline.
What if someone has no internet connection at the moment the challenge ends? Also, I prefer to spend my last minute of the challenge studying, not posting the last update :D

And finally, what would you do if the challenge ended at 5am your time? Would you be happy to stay up all night and would you be able not to? :) From my experience with landcomms, this would be horrible for anyone really caring about their participation. (and in landcomms you normally CAN do things in advance, not right before the deadline... here you can't)

Last time the bot would tweet at everyone "please enter only the work you did before midnight your time". I think it would be a good idea to tweet this on the last day already.

until the 15th and have posted in good faith.

Well i thought it was 15th and well i was still posting today then i noticed it doesn't
get update anymore. I also wasn't aware there was a competition i just joined this to be
able to keep track of my personal goal; daily 2 hours of Italian at least. I managed 2,6
very happy with it.

Congratulations everyone! This challenge has again seen some amazing efforts! 31 people
reached an average of > 1 hour of language study a day, every day, for 6 weeks. What's
even more incredible is that 3 people (Woodsei, Serpent and JNatAlkhimia) reached an
average of > 7 (!) hours of language study a day, every day, for 6 weeks. That is an
example we can all aspire to.

Of course some of us were doing a full-time job next to our studies, which must impact
the number of hours we can squeeze in, but I don't think I ever reached 7 hours of
language study in a day, even on weekends or vacation, never mind doing so
consistently. Way to go!

And way to go to everybody who challenged himself and came out ahead. This is really
what the challenge is about, to get out of the rut and really try to find more time to
study. Whether it's going from 2 hours a week to 3, or from 20 to 22, any improvement
is commendable and any improvement will get you further on your language learning
journey. Thank you everyone for participating!

As for the bot, I set it to run till the end of June 13th in order to give everyone the
chance to post their hours. Since then the bot has stopped accepting log entries. I
regret being too busy to post a cut-off message reminding people not to log hours past
midnight their time. I am still not going to have a communal starting hour and end
hour, because it would be unfair to some parts of the world and it would encourage
people to study in the middle of the night and that won't have a good impact on their
work or language study.

See you all in August!

I didn't make it to the finish line but seeing what can be accomplished makes me want to try again. Congratulations guys!
