This question wasn't directed at me, but do you get your PMs? I sent one to you a few days ago with no answer. It's not the website misbehaving, is it? (I'm trying to assume the best instead of thinking you ignored me.)

Ok, I feel compelled to share this.
In the past 24 hours, Fate came up with funny ways of drawing my attention to Finnish. First, I found out that the author I really liked was also a translator from Finnish. Second, I was watching an Argentinian film, and one of the characters had a German poster of an Aki Kaurismäki film, which I was able to recognize because it was one of the two Finnish films that I had seen. Third, the guy who asked me for directions on the subway turned out to be "from Helsinki, in Finland, it's in Northern Europe," and I was like "yes, I might be going there this August." I don't think I have ever spoken to a Fin before, at least not to my knowledge. And to top it all off, when I got out of the subway, I realized that a Marimekko store popped up a block away from my building. :) Weird.

I've settled on Indonesian. I shall use the book "Lehrbuch der Indonesischen Sprache",
which uses the translation method. On ca. 150 pages there is lots of vocabulary (->
Anki!) and lots of exercises and I really want to see where that will lead me... the
exercises at the end of the book are taken from newspapers and I would love to be able to
read Indonesian newspapers at the end of this 6 week challenge! ;-)

EDIT: Bah! I posted my thoughts about the super challenge here! I will still be studying French as my main language for the 6wc. Other thoughts have been moved to the right thread.
