Just a word of caution. Waiting to the end of the year may not be the best strategy. If you have reached 30
by the end of the year, and new people keep coming it may prove difficult to kick out people who have
already been accepted. We were very happy with Brun Ugle's suggestion to start a second team early -
leaving us some flexibility. If we see at the end of the year that we have room for them we can always
merge (and I hope we can). Having to exclude someone who has already been accepted would feel very
uncomfortable, though. )

That's true. We should either split this team or open another Romance team soon. What do you guys think?
I agree that it would be pretty hard to split. So many people are studying more than one language, so we'd probably end up with people in both teams.

I was about to suggest some quote from Life of Brian (such as Romani ite domum) or
Astérix et Obelix, but I actually like the two above; I find them encouraging.
The list at the 1st page of this thread has right now 17 members. Is that up to date?
It seems that there is a lot of people taking French only, so maybe we could split in a
French group and a Spanish/Portuguese/Italian group. I don't have a strong opinion
anyway.

Hello!
Thanks for having created this thread - I'm very happy to be in the Romance team! :)
Well, my name is Bruno and I am a fifteen-year-old student from Austria. I will certainly focus on Spanish which I
have been learning for about 15 months now. In the course of this TAC I really want to achieve a low B2 or a high
B1, whereas currently I have an A2 I'd say.
In addition I will study Russian (total beginner) as well as I will try to brush up my English skills.
So, I hope we have a lot of fun and success! :)
¡Ánimo!

All,
The list on the first page is continually updated and I believe it has all members who
have left their information here. That being said, it still does not match the list in
the main TAC 2013 thread. I would not mind splitting into an all French team and an
"other" Romance languages team. The split would probably mean that my name suggestion
"The Romunlans" would not fit for my French team. Oh well. Please leave votes/other
suggestions here and we will choose a name by the 1st of the year.
Name vote: Romulans / "aut disce aut discede"
Split team?: Yes
Which team would I go to?: French

I think the name "Romulans" is hilarious. I love it.
I agree that splitting teams is probably a good idea at this point.. If there are enough, I'd be open to
being in an "other romance languages team" if French splits off.. I'd be equally happy to be in a Spanish
team.

I'm here as promised in the sign-up thread, and I'll get to my introduction and starting a log soon. Another Latin-
style team name idea (variations on the theme welcome):
Lingua delenda est!
