I love the Romani ite domum one and some others that have been proposed but I'll wait before voting in case people come up with some new ones and in case we split.
Vote : close inscriptions now for Romance team 1. We can't really kick people out afterwards if we don't so we would be left with splitting.
In case of split : would go to Spanish or non-French Romance Team

I think it would be good to have an all-French team and an all-Spanish team. Do we have enough people studying Italian or Portuguese to do the same with them?
I would probably follow both (or all three) teams, since I'm studying all four major Romance languages. I have a feeling we will end up merging later in the year, anyways. :)
So if we split into the following teams, which team do you want to be on?
Spanish Team
French Team
Romance Team
I think this is the best way. I think the support we can offer (and receive from) each other is stronger this way. Just my two cents, of course. :)

Well, I'd stick with the Romance team if we split into French/Spanish/Romance. Even in a small team of Italian only (or Italian/Portuguese/Romance), I think it would be really better, focused. My only fear is that people simply vanish as the year goes, so we'd probably have to merge back in the future.
We could always close this team and start Romance 2, but I'm not sure I'd like to read e.g. Spanish teammate logs, simply because I'm not very interested in the language.
I'm not really sure, it's up to you guys. I'll just go with the flow.

Okay, too many hands in the pot.
Let's split by language then. Let's have sub-teams instead of splitting completely, though. We will likely end up merged later in the year anyways.
So we have the Spanish Team, the French Team, and the Romance team. Which team(s) do each of you want to be on?
I will officially be on the Romance team, but I will be checking the Spanish and French teams logs as well.
EDIT: Repeated myself. Twice. Doh.

If we're splitting by language, I just have one question, what do I do if I'm doing
French and Spanish or Spanish and Italian or any other combination like that?

1) We can simply split as Romance 1 - 2
2) We can create language specific teams as French, Spanish, Italian and making 2+
language-learners be part of different teams in the same time.
I find language specific division more useful, more focused. If done, I want to be a part
of French team.

That's kind of why I was thinking of sub-teams instead of splitting teams. There are a lot of us that are studying more than one Romance language, which is the main reason for the team theme. If we split by language, I would be following more than one team.
I suppose it would be too complicated to make a list of people studying each language, and then everyone follow the people who are studying the same target language as they are. For example, someone studying French and Italian would follow Romance team members studying French and/or Italian. Someone studying Portuguese would only study other teammates that are studying Portuguese.
I think that there are enough of us studying multiple Romance languages that this would work, and we would still have a sense of team unity, without being overwhelmed from following 25 or more logs. But it's also kind of complicated, I guess.

If we do the first option, it would feel a little awkward to start kicking out people who
have already signed up, and I donĀ“t really want to kicked out of a group I've just been
accepted into. However, if we go for the second option, I'd like to be part of both the
French and Spanish, but I'll probably read the other logs as well.
