It is always interesting to know there are regional variations of what the Chinese call their language: 普通话 / 国语
/ 华语, etc. There is 1 term that came up in Hong Kong recently for "Chinese Mainlanders". 以前香港人用 "大陆人"。
现在开始有人用 "强国人" in the context of "people from the superpower", a local stereotype.

我喜欢在网上看台湾和新加坡的电视节目。三个月前看过一部新加坡电影叫: "IL O ILO - 爸妈不在家"。导演 Anthony
Chen 在法国影展拿过奖。新加坡人跟印度人一样说话时经常插入英文字 (例如: O不OK, 你的朋友够friend啦, 我去cantine吃
饭, 你出门时忘记带ID,…) 这种说法。在东南亚(泰国, 新加坡, 马来西亚, 印尼)的华人比较重视用"华语"沟通。
