Nah, I'm gonna finish it so it stops staring at me accusingly.
I'll have some time this weekend sans computer to get through it and then move on to something else. The whole book is 50 pages - I'm up to page 39 now and the lady FINALLY woke up from her coma or whatever just a few pages ago (oops, spoilers).

My "100 things" challenge was to listen to 100 tapes of FSI Mandarin. I'm up to 88 now.
I really enjoyed and appreciated this monthly challenge, because there's no way that I would have been able to convince myself to work so hard on the FSI tapes without the extra incentive provided by the challenge.

I have done my 10 hours of watching native material! Actually a bit more than 10 hours so I am pleased with that!

I didn't finish doing 100 words from the HSK 3 list. I lost track of the list as soon as I started reading my new Chinese Breeze level 1.
Could we continue this kind of challenge in April? -- of course we can change it up.
I'd love to read a whole Chinese Breeze as part of the April challenge. But I'll go with whatever anyone else suggests.

It occurs to me that I mentioned only in my log and not here that what I have been doing is an intensive study with Anki, 100 new cards daily, of a top 3000 characters frequency list.
This has meant I have been exposed to all of those over the course of the month. Naturally my retention has suffered somewhat from the volume, but I'm sure a lot will stay, and / or make more sense upon seeing them in context when reading, due to already having a brushing familiarity with them. Quite a lot of them seem to have already stuck in my mind, in any case, so this has been a worthwhile endeavour.

Impressive work David! 100 new Anki cards a day for a month is a mammoth achievement.
I've finished my March challenge too. I listened to 100 tapes of FSI Mandarin. It was tough to maintain my
motivation, but I stumbled over the line in the end. As I wrote in my log, I'm very grateful for this monthly
challenge and the TAC in general. The extra motivation (and fear of embarrassment if I quit) really gave me
a boost.
I'm leaving today for a year in China - let's see if the extra study helped!
