Ok, here's my small contribution to January's challenge:

إسمي هنرك. أنا من البرتغال و أسكن في لشبونة. أنا درست العربية خلال خمسة سنوات في الجامعة الجديدة لشبونة

My name is Henrique. I'm from Portugal and live in Lisbon. I've studied Arabic for five years at the New University of Lisbon.

As you may have guessed, it's Arabic. I can't do the same for Sanskrit.

Shall I set up some kind of challenge tracker on the first page, in order to keep the team motivated? Not to stress anyone, of course. ;)

EDIT: Sorry, I had forgotten to include a translation.

My belated contribution to the January challenge (Luso, thanks for the text above, I figured out a new word!)

.اٍسمي كاشا. أتا من بولندا واُسكن في وارسو. أنا أدروس اللغة العربية خلال 1 سنة
درستُ اللغة الاٍنغليزية في 4 سنوات قي الجامعة وارسو.

My name's Kasia. I am from Poland and I live in Warsaw. I am studying Arabic for a year. I have studied English for four years at university.

EDIT: Corrected some spelling and clarified the second sentence.

EDIT: Removed a misspelled copy of lugha that was throwing Luso off.

I don't what that might have been, but you're welcome.

There's a couple of things here I don't understand, and a couple more I know I can help you with (which is a polite way to say "correct").

Let's see:
- the plural of words (usually feminine) ended by "ة" is "ات"; so, one year is سنة and the plural is سنوات;
- in the expression "اللغة العة العربية", I don't know the word in the middle; maybe it was something you repeated unintentionally?
- I think you can't say that you're learning "in one year" or "in four years"; you must use "since", which is "منذ"; if you meant "during", it could have been "خلال" (as I have put it);
- I think Warsaw is spelled "وارسو".

EDIT: Please include a translation. I also had forgotten that part. :P

The word I figured out was اُسكن and the word you didn't know is lugha = language. I checked the spelling with my favorite Arabic dictionary - Aratools

Luso, thanks for the feedback - I fixed the typos. It's been a long time since I typed anything in the language :)
