LANGUAGE: French
CHALLENGE: Full
CURRENT LEVEL: A1-A2
COMMENTS: My knowledge of French is based on my native Spanish really, so at this point I'm just a good "French
guesser," nothing more. Going for the full challenge!

CHALLENGE: full
CURRENT LEVEL: uh, I think A1/A2 writing and B1 in reading/listening comprehension?
COMMENTS: I gathered a lot of material for my first 6WC challenge, but since I followed a rather traditional route back then (grammar exercises and audio courses) I didn't have the chance to actually use it.
LANGUAGE: English
CHALLENGE: full
CURRENT LEVEL: C2
COMMENTS: I use English everyday and with my other languages having a higher priority I hardly do anything "serious" to improve my level. I haven't picked any specific material yet, but I will focus on classic literature and film or TV series where characters don't speak with the accents I'm already used to hear.
I'm still debating whether I should join with Spanish or German so I will edit this post accordingly. Hopefully I will manage to make up my mind soon. Updates will be posted at my log. |

Edit: I’m updating my original post since, after much pondering, I eventually decided to sign up with a third language.
LANGUAGE: Spanish
CHALLENGE: half
CURRENT LEVEL: B1/B2
COMMENTS: I stopped working on Spanish after studying it during my bachelor’s degree. Despite the lack of exercise, my level shouldn’t have changed much thanks to my native language. Hopefully by participating in this challenge I will be able to find some Spanish-based materials that I like (as opposed to the boring ones I had to use back at university ;)).

I'll sign up for 1/2 Spanish. I completed more than my goal of movies for the last challenge & almost 1/3 of the
reading, so I think I'll be good for this one. Already have a good start ... found a bargain Twilight in Spanish for
$3 and have read almost 150 pages in a few days. I couldn't have done that at the beginning of the last
challenge. I'd like to do French, too, but I know that when school starts, my free time will rapidly diminish.
Summer break has just started & it feels like I could do anything!
Language: Spanish
Challenge Half
Current level: Reading probably B2 thanks to last year's challenge
Listening B1/B2
Comments: Even though I so improved with the last challenge, there's still a way to go before I reach the comfort
level I'm striving for. I'd like to get more of the new vocab into my speech. It's one thing to make a
good guess about meaning in context, something else to freely use it.
