@woodsei
In Franc's method, one have a original text in target language with a partial translation in Russian (in the beginning
of the book, almost every word is translated, with grammar comments), phrase by phrase. Some books
(unfortunately, not all of them) are with audio records. So it's a nice combination of "Assimiling", parallel text and
LR.

@Luso
Unfortunately, all Sanskrit cours-books in Russian are without audio records. For me it's important, especially in
the beginning, to listen a language. So for a moment I prefer Assimil in French. Then I will use Russian courses to
enrich the vocabulary and grammar knowledge.

French: Super Challenge Reading

Fiction: J’aime bien le livre de Catherine Pancol « Les yeux jaunes des crocodiles ». Ce roman est surtout sur les
relations familiales, mais ça parle aussi, en peu, d’utilité de connaître des langues : une femme, abandonnée par
son mari et obligée de nourrir ses filles toute seule, trouve un job de traductions.

I really like the book "Les jeux jaunes des crocodiles" by Katherine Pancol.

Travels: "« Pyrénées Histoire » magasin

Actually, living in Toulouse, I am close to sites related to the catharism movement. So I am reading the literature
about it and I plan to go to Albi this week-end.

Sanskrit: Assimil

I revised a couple of lessons today: Lesson 14 - a summary of six previous lessons - and Lesson 15, called "dve
mtre" (two friends), which introduce unusual verb form - dual. For example:

Nagare vasāmaḥ - we live in a city (plural)
āvāṁ nagare vasāvaḥ - (both) we live in a city (dual)

Hungarian: Super Challenge

I finished one more chapter from "Toldi Miklós": a book adopted by I. Frank method, which consist on acquiring
the vocabulary without learning a lot of grammar, just observing the same words in different context. For
example, I notice a lot of phrase with "eye", "hand", "daughter/girl":

Állj fel, leányom – Stand up, my daughter!
A te udvari leányod lesz Rozgonyi Piroska – Piroska Rozgonyi will be your court circle maid
Ment a két leány kéz a kézben – two girls went hand by hand
Kezén – in the hands

For the moment, I did not read a lot about cathars exept from « Pyrénées Histoire » magasin (2013 edition is
dedicated to cathars because of anniversary of of the Muret battle of 1213, where the cathars were defeated) and
brief comments in the "Guide Vert Michelin: Languedoc-Roussillon" , I will find more literature while traveling.
