The only thing I managed to do in summer is watching few minutes of "Euronews". Spanish: I finished "La casa de los espíritus" and "Sonatas". Japanese: "Rage of angels" is becoming interesting, but it took around 10 minutes to read 1 page extensively, using parallel text. Anya, your achievements are really inspiring.
Your mix of languages seems very challenging: quite a few language families and scripts. They seem hand-picked to cover as much linguistic ground as possible. Maybe they were. In any case, keeping all those plates spinning must be a difficult task (and with a successful SC to top it all). I am reading a book adopted by I. Franck method, "Schachnovelle" by Stefan Zweig. Reading the very first pages make me think about Nabokov's "The Luzhin Defense", one of my favorite books. Later, I understood that the main character is very different. Catalan: Finally started 10000 sentences method challenge.
