I'm at page 250 now, and the audio is more or less useless. Only a couple of files are left and it will not cover a whole lot of the remainder of the book. I needed audio practise before Russia, so it's kind of a bummer... I will do the next audio sequence though, and then listen to Dracula instead I think. I've listened to 45 minutes so far without reading any book, and it's been going great :)
And for the first time in MM I hit upon a weird part I couldn't understand. I don't think it was essential though, something about a girl in a window...?

I took a small break from MM, and when I returned to the chapter Казнь, it proved to be rather difficult. But I will continue!
I've listened to another 2,9 hours of Dracula while walking and sewing. When the plot turned to the doctor's journal, things became trickier. Lucy and Mina's letters and diaries are easy to understand though, plus they are accompanied by "flowery" music :P
Actually, I started yet another book, for which I have full audio. Похороните меня за плинтусом by Санаев. Not very cheerful reading, and the hardest of the three books. It contains useful words though (although quite a couple of them aren't to be found at Rambler) so I will add words from it to Anki later. It's a 5h/284 pages (big print) book, and so far I've read and listened to 53 pages.

I've not been reading very very much today. I'm at page 265 for MM and I've listened to another 1,4 hours of Dracula. There were like 10 minutes during which I understood very little, but it was about the storm and the discovery of the ship with the dead captain. Once I stop understanding I just tend to zone out and well... continue not understanding. Then things were fine again.
I've finished watching a Russian documentary (or German originally) on Norway, which was very interesting, even though everyone was extremely ugly and 90's:ish! ;P I also watched the movie Иван Васильевич меняет профессию without subtitles, which went just fine. I really liked the movie, it was very charming :) Much better than the modern Russian movies I've seen!

I've listened to another 4,5 hours of Dracula, mostly while out walking. The dialogue is *really* much easier to understand than the descriptive parts, and luckily the last 2 hours have been very easy to understand.
For Sanaev's book, I'm at page 90 and liking it more and more despite its tragic content. The reader of this book is FAST, words just fly by. It's nice as variation.
I haven't gotten any further than page 286 for MM, it is a bit harder to read when all the weird stuff starts to happen ;)

Another 4,9 hours of Dracula. The book hit a quite boring part, and I've been zoning out quite a lot. :/ I've understood the major things though! The book sure is much longer than the movie.
I've read until page 305 in MM. It is much harder to read quickly without the audio. When I read on my own I constantly stop and reread everything and I can't help going to the dictionary.
All in all, the last days have been very slow... Perhaps I'll watch another movie tomorrow or so.

Before going to Russia I watched Piter FM, it seems like I forgot to mention it. I *really* liked the movie, it was awfully sweet :) I didn't understand all the dialogue, but the story was clear enough anyway.
I also finished Dracula. I lost focus in the end though. All in all: 17,4 hours.
So! In Russia I bought some books. It's inevitable in a country where books are practically free compared to my dear Scandinavia. When I went there my suitcase weighed in at 11 kilos (I'm SO proud of that!) and when I went back, at 20,2! :D Plus I had some books in my backpack and I had to open it at the security check and they asked me if I had any books in it. I still wonder what that was about.
This is the list anyway. I wanted to buy the recommended fictional books, but I didn't find them and I was generally a bit stressed. And I didn't want to bother the ever so merry staff too much...
I also bought the movie Сталкер, based on a Стругацкие book.

I worked at my old job today and managed to read a couple of pages of M&M. Then I forgot the book there, so I have no idea how many pages I actually read :P I did look up a whole lot of words, in a rather joyful manner. Words such as "crimson"! I'm in the second part of the book now.
