I was kindly lent half of the course last Friday. Units 1, 3 and 4 will be digitized by Friday (if not before).

The workbook for Module 5 and 6 has already been digitized as has the student book, the workbook and the tapes for unit 8 of Module 2.

The quality of the PDFs are not professional as I was not (understandably) allowed to take them apart. However, they are all usable and this is the most important thing. All the modules have been divided into seperate PDFs, by units, so as to improve usability.

The audio has been converted into MP3, again I would not say the audio quality is quite as good as the tapes or a .wav file, but they are very usable and the file size is small.

If anyone can send me any of the modules that have been put onto CD I could convert them to MP3 and digitize the books (without taking them apart) in a day and post them straight back. I think Unit 8 is on CD?

However, I will leave the country to go to China on the 24th of this Month so you would have to send me the CD's and book soon.

The files have not been sent to the administrator yet. Though they will be sent very soon. He will decide what to do with them and how to distribute them.

I've been seeing these FSI tapes for sale on Ebay. Does anyone know if they are able to be legally digatized and shared? They say the are the official FSI course. I can read "Multilingua Inc." on the cover of the tapes. Hopefully someone is familiar with them. Here are some auctions...

They can be legally digitized and are not copyrighted, if you read some of this thread, I think it's in there. See Malcolm's Module 9 of Standard Chinese if your interested, it has been digitized.
