If anybody wants a sample of the first lesson of Hebrew. let me know. I'll send it over via email. I found that using the Microsoft Document Imagining(using the reader icon) is the best method. The user could then print out his own copy if staring at the computer screen would give headaches. Or if this site wants to host it, I'm okay with that too.

Is there a way to use xdrive so that I can post a link on a forum and have people download the files? Currently I have to type in the email to send over the files. Is there another way?

I'm not sure what I have to do once I follow the link. Sorry, but I'm a bit useless around computers!

patuco: Enter your email address at the first screen (you don't need to use your real email if you are worried about spam, as this site doesnt require a confirmation). After you enter your email and click "Go!", fill out the required information, and sign up for a free account. After your account is processed, there will be a green button at the top right ("Continue") to proceed to your download. If my instructions are correct, a window should pop up with a few folders on the left. Click "My Documents(1)", select the 4 files, and press "download" at the top. Let us know if you have any problems.
braveb: I do not think that charging for your efforts is unreasonable at all. Were I planning on learning Arabic or Hebrew in the near future, I would gladly purchase from you, provided that your materials were of reasonable quality. However, you should keep in mind that you likely won't sell 50 copies through this forum alone.
At approximately 250 kilobytes per page, 550 pages of .tif files will be well over 100 MB. This seems rather large considering the content. Perhaps you could try to compress the images, or save them as a different format. You might also consider using Adobe Acrobat instead of Microsoft Power Point. Acrobat is generally more suitable, and more commonly used for such purposes.
As for the audio, I am sure you could compress it and maintain reasonable quality. For example, I have 15 MB Pimsleur lessons (30 minutes each) which are of excellent quality. As well, your files have a bit rate of 192 kbits/s, whereas audio CDs only have a bit rate of 128 kbit/s. Such compression is not necessary, although it greatly facilitates file transfer.
Speaking of file transfer, there are several free alternatives to xDrive. Rapidshare allows for unlimited downloads, but has a limit of 50MB files. Yousendit has a limit of 25 downloads over 7 days, but files can be up to 1 GB. There are also many Peer-to-Peer programs available, but this may not be practical for the average user. You may also wish to consider an FTP, or Bittorrent. PM me if you have any questions.
PS. Does anyone know the status on the digitizing of the Mandarin course?

cheemaster: Thanks for your help, it worked fine (eventually). The problem is that my connection is so slow that the download box told me that would take nearly 1 1/2 hours to download the mp3 file!
