This sounds fantastic! Definitely in for the TAC and TAC teams.
The teams concept is a great idea, and i think it will definitely help keep the motivation levels up through out the
new year. Especially if there is a good varied mix of native languages within each group. Obviously that depends on
who and how many enter, but hopefully it will work out nicely.

Teams is a good idea...except that if we're learning two languages minimum, it could be a problem. If I'm learning Arabic and Japanese for example, and two of my teammates are also learning Arabic, but no one else is learning Japanese, I'm not going to have as much motivation to learn Japanese as Arabic.
I think we should do one of two things. 1) Have everybody learn a minimum of two languages as planned. 2) Form teams instead, where each team is studying only ONE language, and we keep each other motivated.
Personally I'd rather do teams. That way, we have a safeguard against the burnout that afflicted the last TAC.

I am definitely going to participate in TAC 2010. My new log will appear the first week of January given that I'm still doing TAC 2009 and thinking about my study plans and goals for 2010.

I'm willing to participate. I wouldn't mind teams, but structuring needs to be worked out for it to be effective.

Ok so Anya had a great idea that there is a native speaker of that studied language in each group, but I also think it could be nice if there was an Arabic group, French group, etc. It may be difficult though to find enough people studying Arabic/Russian or whatever to group them together.
So far we have:
Grouping people together by language they are studying
Grouping people together who are at the same level
Grouping people studying random languages
And somewhere in the mix possibly sneaking in a native speaker of that studied language
We have until December 31st so let's keep the ideas running and get more members involved and just go from there.
Anyone else studying French? I'll be studying French and one another language, not sure which one yet.

The group idea sounds good! However as some of you may note, with my totally multilingual year I would be totally at a loss to what group I would be in. Not sure if many other people would be in the same situation as me. Either way I have made my TAC2010 blog already for individual TAC and will keep a look out on the team situation.

Even though my recent challenge was an epic fail, I still feel the urge to try again.
Starting right now. Will update the log shortly.
