I ended up getting nothing done for the first week, so I'm effectively a late starter too, even though I signed up at the start. Oh well, I'll just have to compete with the other late starters!

So far, so good on my Japanese. I'm not the one with the most listed study time, but I have had the most study time out of those who work full time. It's also been fun to report all the studying I do and sneak in new moments of study.

I really need to be this dilligent about a test I have to take for work on September 22nd. Studying for that isn't as fun to me as studying Japanese!

We're now more than a third of the way into the challenge. If you take your current
score and multiply it by 3 - would you be satisfied if you had that result at the end?

I would not be. I'm now almost at 20 target hours, which I suppose isn't bad for two
weeks of study, but I would like a final score of 100 hours, not 60. Fitting that time
into my schedule is a different matter.

My goal is about 2 hours/day. I'm about 2 hours behind on that because of travelling. That would give me a total of 84 hours. 60 hours would not be a bad result in any case.

I have a request, Sprachprofi. Would it be possible to keep the bot running after the 6wc ends? At least until the next challenge starts. I like updating my times, and being able to keep the percentages of time spent on different activities. Even if there was no challenge on, I would find the bot motivating.

Sadly, I'll have to withdraw from the challenge. I've been thoroughly enjoying it, and I'm proud to see myself at 4th (target) and 3rd (total) places. But I study over about 11 short sessions per day, and remembering to and actually keeping time and record of them has been too time-consuming and stressful. And I think I'm spending too much time staring at the score chart and peeking at other members' time-breakdowns :D I'll still be studying like mad, I just won't time myself anymore.

Anyway, to share some stats I just made:
Averge hours per day: 5:40
Average sessions per day: 11.3
Main target was to learn Italian vocabulary.
Words learned during challenge: 1743
per day: 134
Total words now know (in SRS): 3387
Total days learning Italian: 46

I wasn't that keen on learning Italian and didn't feel like learning the vocabulary. Were it not for the challenge, I would have given it up in July. But after forcing myself for 2 weeks, I suddenly find myself understanding most of what I read and hear. Reading suddenly became easy and enjoyable. Speaking is no longer stressful. I'm glad I participated in the challenge.

Good luck to everyone else! And a big THANK YOU to Sprachprofi!

@Sprachprofi
The 6 Week Challenge is a brilliant motivator, and I'd like to applaud you once again for putting in the time and setting this all up. :)

I don't know if it's possible to fit in now, but I think it would be a nice touch if we could have an additional link to the final tables of results and winners from previous challenges too (a bit like in the Tadoku Challenge). Just an idea.

My current score is 70 hours, multiplied by three gives me 210 hours. Since I had originally aimed for 100, I would definitely be satisfied with this. Unfortunately, I probably won´t reach it, since the rest of the challenge, and especially the last two weeks, promises to be much busier than the first two weeks. Still, it was surprising and more than a little satisfying to see that I can get so much done in just two weeks.

I agree that keeping track of all the 20-30 minute minisessions throughout the day sometimes seems like a
chore. I'm not that competitive, really, but I feel really about myself when I look at my total and see how
much I've accomplished so far. That's why I'm sticking with the bot for now. I need to see that 30 minutes
here and there throughout the day really does add up over time.

My ~65 hours so far have included a lot of experimentation since I'm still learning my first L2, but now that
I've found some resources and methods I like I'm looking forward to settling into a more consistent routine
for the second half. I'm aiming for 200 hours by the end, but I'd be satisfied with 150+.
