though, I have no excitement for it. I had been doign the lesson right away when I wake up in the morning, and
now I feel a big desire NOT to do it.
I may be rebelling more against the morning part of the routine, because I am okay with the language itself. I spent
2 hours last night watching a drama (with subtitles), and that worked for me as a change of pace. |

When I did Pimsleur for French I found it almost nauseatingly boring and eventually it became impossible to force
myself to do it. If you're not into it, maybe you should try finding a different course that suits you better? There are
a lot of good beginning audio or video courses for Japanese (I assume that's your target language?)

Yes, I'm working on Japanese. I'm not ready to give up on Pimsleur completely, but my head feels so full! I am wondering if I really know all the content or not. When I repeat the lessons later in the early evening, I seem to have an easier time doing them.

Am I correct in thinking that we finish at the end of the 11th of September? What timezone will it finish in? German time (which I think is 1 hour ahead of UK)?

"The challenge starts on August 1st and runs until September 12th, both at midnight your
time (the bot has a grace period to accommodate participants coming from different time
zones)."

I see the bot still seems to be going. Does the 6WC finish at midnight tonight (making it 6 weeks plus a
day), or did the cutoff take place last night?

Right now the bot only knows languages that have a 2-letter ISO code as that's what it
is using internally. I've been trying to fill in the gaps by inventing additional 2-
letter ISO codes for e. g. ASL, Cantonese, Ancient Greek, etc. as people let me know.
So Hmong was apparently still missing. For the next 6WC I will modify the bot so that
it works based on 3-letter codes, then Hmong will be possible too.

No, cut off was at midnight between Sunday and Monday. I had to let the bot run an
additional day for the benefit of Americans, because otherwise it would have shut down
at 12am German time, which would be 6pm or even just 4pm American time and therefore
unfair. However, everyone was told to stop logging at midnight / only log hours that
were done before the cutoff point.

@Sprachprofi I would like to thank you for organizing this and proving the twitter bot. This is the first time I have taken part in such a challenge and it definitely provided extra impetus for me to study more German. The last few days were tough for me to get much studying done, but at the end of the challenge I managed to do 101 hours which works out to an average of 2.4 hrs/day over the 6 weeks. That is twice what I normally do!
I'm looking forward to the next challenge!
