Hm. I'm going to listen-read in Polish, found some materials already... I don't use textbooks much anyway. I'll be using native materials for fun no matter how little I understand:P
I think this depends on your motivation, really. When I just started Finnish I'd spend 4-8 h on textbook study for two months (then school started). I've never again spent 8h a day (regularly) doing something in another language since then.

Oh and a Finnish challenge sounds amazing. What level is it for? If I can't participate I'll be happy to help you organize it ♥

I've been extremely busy lately with my entire family in town for the holidays and college applications to finish, but I'll try to get my new log up within a week or so. Your log looks great, Sprachprofi!

This looks like an amazing team, and I wish you lots of success. I have not quite caught the Tadoku-thing. Is the point to read as much as possible whithin a given time frame? Can it be in any language? Since the 6wc is more for languages where you are at a beginner level, I take it that the reading challenge (if that is what it is) is more intended for languages where you are more advanced?

I'm sorry not else answered -- I guess I'm apologizing for my team ;) .
I don't think 6WC is intended for beginner level. I only did it once, and while I did beginner Norwegian, I also did Japanese and Spanish which are more advanced. 6WC is meant to encourage you to study more, that's all.
