Still on track, and caught up with French.

Russian
Russian grammar is a lot easier than I had anticipated. I take Latin in school (it's my favorite class) so I am quite used to dealing with many case endings. Also I noticed that there are only 2 conjugations in Russian(excluding irregular verbs), so I am quite happy about that as well. Pronunciation isn't bad either, as far as just producing the sounds, reading the pronunciation is another story...

French
New French with Ease is seriously the best language book I have ever used. It has everything you could ask for, and it really has made learning easy. I'm having a little trouble with pronunciation, but I know it will come with practice.

Japanese
I kind of forgot the feeling of starting a new language and being so lost. So Japanese is a familiar face that I can always return to. I'm continuing with the textbook, and I've started Night on the Galactic Railroad on LingQ, which I'm really enjoying.

If anyone is an Intermediate Japanese learner looking for a textbook, Introduction
to Intermediate Japanese
by Nobuko Mizutani is awesome! I've been copying the texts
in this book by hand, and entering the vocab into Anki. Then I listen to the audio at
night. I'm learning so much, SO quickly! In addition, there are concise grammar
explanations, and exremely useful Kanji Compound exercises.

I just realized that I haven't peeked in to say hello and welcome to the team! I have
that book, remembered it, and got it out today. It is awesome! I will definitely
be using it too.

Your goals are certainly ambitious, but so are mine. We'll definitely have a great
2012, languages and otherwise. Will be thrilled to follow your log!

Hey, Woodsei! Thanks for reading!

I'm aching for the summer, so I can study a lot more. Right now, every spare moment I have to study is precious. Thank God for my Ipod!
