Awesome, Teango! I'm sure you'll enjoy this new "era" of your life. I wish you and your Russian wife the best, and maybe someday you guys could pay me and my Russian wife a visit here in Brazil or vice-versa. =)

@Woodsei
Thanks, it's all quite exciting and petrifying at the same time. And it's great to see you and Cristina heading up the hit list in the 6WC again too. I'm jumping up and down and cheering you both on from the sidelines...

@fabriciocarraro
I'd love to meet up and compare notes in Brazil sometime (I've never been and always wanted to go!). And it goes without saying, minha casa é sua casa for you and your wife too, if you ever fancy hitting the surf in Hawai'i! :)

WOOOW!!! \O/ These are great news!!    :D

I'm so happy-. It really sounds like the ultimate job for you, language research AND teaching. I think you'll become a great great language teacher! (that dreaded 5 hour exam seems to have been worth the all the pain - you rock!).

And what can I say; Love. Love. Love. :D Wish you a Great wedding!

//Your happy language learning companion

With the recent whirlwind of preparations, I must admit, I haven't even scratched the
surface with Irish yet (although oddly enough, I did manage to sneak in a "Say
Something in Welsh" audio lesson this week). Hopefully I'll be able to get stuck into
my Buntús course books and the cool array of Irish programmes over on TG4 sooner rather
than later. It would be really cool to catch up before I leave, and maybe even throw
around a few basic phrases in Welsh or Irish to boot, if you're up for a little Celtic
challenge. ;)

Well providing the conversation doesn't veer very much from "hello, my name is x", that
would be great :D

If you think you will have time to catch up before you go with everything going on your
life at the moment, don't hesitate to get in contact. It would be great see you :D

In the meantime, good luck with the Irish challenge, marriage and getting everything
organised for the new life ;)

Tack så mycket bro. :) Indeed...love is all you need! And you'll be glad to hear that I managed to get the rings engraved in Russian too (lol). I'd have probably kanjified the wedding cake and added a soupçon of macha as well, if I'd been able to get away with it... ;)

@Topsy Turvey
"hello, my name is x" is about my upper limit in Irish as well, so no worries there. I'll drop you a line soon, once all the general pandemonium dies down, it'd be really cool to catch up.

@drsarvo
Muchas gracias amigo, and best of luck with those tricky Russian verbs of motion. I also have Russian Ark amongst my DVDs but haven't got around to watching more than half an hour yet. I'll have to remember to add it to my to-do list once I'm back.

My colourful little blog has once again been nominated by some kind soul out there in Internet world for the prestigious title of favourite "Language Learning Blog 2012".

I'm really honoured to be even considered for nomination, given all the clearly brilliant and inspiring sites this year, and making it into the final pantheon of finalists would be like Christmas come early for my underblog escapades.

If you'd like to drop by the Lexiophiles website and vote for my hopeful little language learning blog "Travels with Teango", you're more than very welcome. Even if I don't reach anywhere near enough votes to compete with the big boys and girls out there, it would still add an extra spring to my step and smile to my day.

Teango :)
