The one week Wanderlust voucher can be cashed in at any time. It allows you to study one brand new language, but only for a week. At the end of the week, you must return to your core languages. Anyone thinking of using the voucher, and for what language would you use it ?

Great minds think alike! I was just about to suggest the same thing a few days ago, the last week before the 6WC and the Super Challenge start, but I got overwhelmed with all the other stuff I was doing. On the other hand I am happy that someone else suggested it, since I am starting to worry that people are tired of seeing me asking and suggesting all sorts of things.
Well I am going to use the voucher even for just the three days that are left - sort of half a voucher :-) And I am in with Mandarin. Do we post updates here, or just the language?

As it's such a short timeframe, we could post both updates and the language here. It could also come in handy, if you're toying with a language for the 6WC, but want to test the waters first.

Argh I really want to do this! I've often thought of doing this actually. My sister did a
week of intensive Turkish a month ago and from what I gather she really enjoyed it!
I have exams until the 29th of May though :( I don't see how I can fit this in with my
exams, the 6WC, the Super Challenge. I'm free to do it from the 4th of June until 11th.
I'm doing to do either Russian or Portuguese. Lovely sibilant sounds :)

Vietnamese please.
But wait: I've got two weeks to learn as much as I can fit in my tiny head, then a week in Vietnam. Doesn't that make it half of a 6WC?

Afrikaans.
I have absolutely no idea why, but it's the first thing I think of always when people on board mention a super short language visit.

Persian. A language for which resources (in English) seem to be not so great, and that I
would probably never get to use, but still intrigues me.

Too late. I already used mine back in December to relearn some basic Russian.
