Joining~
You could call me a long term low intensity learner. My goal for this year is to focus on automaticity; to reduce the effort I have to make to deal with a task. (It all makes sense to me. I mean, reading speed; how exhausting it is to listen to somebody, how long it takes me to write something or, in speaking, whether I dare to try to express what I wish to say - all when dealing with topics I can handle when I absolutely have to.)
How to achieve that - I don't know yet. Probably more repetition and reviewing that I find comfortable.
Log's here.
I think a team of mrwarper/kuji as leaders sounds like a great idea.

Hello!
I'd like to join as well. I've been studying Japanese for over 5 years so far, but only at jlpt n3 level right now. I
didn't really do any real serious study in the first 3 years and started making real progress since about a year
and a half ago.
I'm currently enrolled into my 6th year of Japanese evening classes (skipped the 2nd and 5th year with
entrance exams). It's paced very slowly, but I get to meet other Japanese learners which is very motivating.
I've finished core6k in october and intend to focus on grammar for the following months. While also keeping
up my reading. My goal is to pass the jlpt n2 or n1 in 2014, which one I'll take will depend on the progress I've
made. I'm also a fan translator of manga, I'd like to improve my translations as I improve my Japanese.

Yeah me too. I'm 6-years into Japanese -- 2014 I'll be taking N2, or N1 if by a miracle of good guessing I passed the N2 in 2013. I'll report on the results in February.

As for the name, does anyone have a good idea? I've just been shown a picture of Oden and that clogs my mind, I want to eat it ...

I'm not too bothered about the team name - just something short enough for the logs.
Any reason not to use Sakura from 2013?

Yeah, Sakura would work fine for me, too. I'll probably simply add the kanji 桜 to my log title, if we choose it.
Or, as a slight variation on the theme, we could think about Hanami (花見). As a fan of tea, I would also like to suggest the names Sencha 煎茶 and Sadou 茶道.

If we have members of the '13 Team 桜 participating this time I don't mind. Otherwise it wouldn't feel right,
since there wouldn't be much continuity.
