So guys, is anyone willing to take command of the team thread? We still don't have a cover =/

Yeah, we need a cover. I think only mrwarper can edit that first post, though; otherwise, we need to start a new thread.
In the meantime, we need to vote on a team name. I think we still have a little more time, though. How about a deadline of Friday (金曜日) for suggestions, then after that a few days to allow votes?
The suggestions so far:
航海 (koukai) sail; voyage
旅立ち (tabidachi) setting off on a voyage
紅葉 (kouyou) changing of the leaves in the fall
花見 (hanami) cherry blossom viewing
桜 (sakura) cherry blossom (TAC '13 Japanese team name)
煎茶 (sencha) green tea
茶道 (sadou) tea ceremony
Let me know if I missed anything.
And for what it's worth, I like the first two.

I'm not too keen on 航海, since it's a complete homophone of 後悔 (regret), right down to having the same
pitch accent on the first mora (although apparently they haven't always been homophonous, considering that
before the war the former was spelled かうかい and the latter こうくわい). I do like the sound of 旅立ち
though. I'm also okay with 紅葉, but if it does get chosen I'd rather use the pronunciation もみじ instead of こ
うよう. Not that the two pronunciations can't coexist , I just like the former more.

Oh, I didn't know that it shared the same pronunciation as regret...
Let's use 旅立ち for the team name then.

vonPeterhof, thanks for bringing the knowledge! 全然知らなかった!
So... it looks like 旅立ち is in the lead right now!

I didn't notice that, glad you found that out before it was too late haha. For me the name doesn't matter
much, as long as we have one.

If possible, I'd love to join the Japanese team as well. it will be my first time trying TAC but it always seemed like a lot of fun so I am looking forward to participating :)

Well, as I would just like to be an observer in the team I don't know if my vote counts, but if it does then I LOVE
'setting off on a voyage'. If I start Japanese this year, then that is exactly what I will be doing!
