Inspired by a similar thread for Russian, which in turn was inspired by the consistency thread.
Just share anything you learned recently.
I've wanted to start this thread for a week or so. I've spent some time in Porvoo, Finland, and I came across a lot of Swedish there.
So the first word I'm sharing is bilskola, driving school. I think it's kinda cute.
AFAIU the Norwegian and Danish version is bilskole.

Emerging from a crazy Norwegian weekend, my word for today is bakrus. It means hangover.

mångata
Swedish
Etymology> måne (“moon”) + gata (“street, road”), known at least since 1890.
Noun
mångata c
the roadlike reflection of moonlight on water
Nybrovikens tjocka och stilla vatten speglade en bred, glimmande mångata i oljiga ringlar, och utmed kajen reste skutorna en gles och orörlig skog af master och tackling.
The thick and still water of Nybroviken [a bay in Stockholm] reflected a broad, glistering mångata in oily serpents, and along the quay the ships raised a sparse and immobile forest of masts and rigging.

Having just woken up I figured I should get the word of the day out of the way, but all I can think about is my warm bed. Å sove, it means 'to sleep'.

Is the Scandinavian word of the day still a thing? I would like it if a community of people got together and shared cool words, I'm not motivated enough to keep a log, but I am motivated enough for this haha.
Anyways the Norwegian word I felt like sharing today is vektrom (which is weight-room).
