I'm looking for a place online where I can read Korean text and listen to the audio simultaneously. Does anyone know of such a website? Anything would work- news, stories, ebooks. I just really need a way to practice listening and reading at the same time. Thanks for your help.

Okay, what about just reading practice? Anyone know where I can find late beginner - early intermediate text to read?

One possibility is to listen to some Korean tunes and read the lyrics on the Internet. You can get one of those in- broswer dictionary plugins for your web browser (I use Bablefish in Firefox) and click on the words you don't know for the translation. Another idea is to go to the kids section of Yahoo Korea. They have some stories with both text and spoken dialogue there. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Lots of that on the podcast site korean101, but you have to pay for it.

This is exactly what I was looking for and it's free. If you go to Talk to Me in Korean and under shows click on Lyagi, you will be taken to a great resource. LingQ has a decent selection of Korean material now (which has text + audio).
Also some Korean variety shows (usually the short series that focus on a specific celebrity or K-pop group) caption most of the dialog on-screen, which can be useful for this. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Yeah, Lingq is good. However, the audio isn't always of good quality. At least not for the languages that I'm

I've heard several people recommend TalkToMeInKorean.com, but I hadn't actually visited that site myself until very recently. After doing so, I wholeheartedly agree with Ashley's comment that TTMIK's 이야기 series is well suited for this purpose. They also have a few audiobooks available (each created by one of the teachers on the site) in their store for $1.99 each which includes a PDF containing both the transcript of the audio and an English translation.
For reference, the 세상에 눈을 뜨다 series (under Intermediate) on LingQ is actually from a podcast series that 최경은 (one of the TTMIK teachers) originally posted on her own Naver blog. 1 person has voted this message useful |
