Yes, he was a Ministerpräsident of Baden-Würtenberg. Appartently they can`t forbid family names.

But let`s go on topic again in my TAC log.

Dear Iversen,

the reason seems to be very easily to me, we respect God but not the devil.

OUR TURKISH STUDY GROUP IN THE LIBRARY

(writing from the internet cafe) - This has as a consequence that I can't give Turkish language examples because I dont have my VIRTUAL KEYBOARD installed on public computers. Today we compared Unit 4 and Test 1 of "Einstieg Turkish", which we both had prapared at home. There were two small grammar features which were new to us. We are both glad that some grmaar features are explained in our new book, which were presented in "Güle Güle" without any explanations given. For next week we will prepare Unit 5.

I had to tell Johannnes that I plan to take time-out of Turkish study from January 2011 until July 2011 to be able to study Danish intensively as a preparation of the Universala Esperanto Kongreso in Kopenhagen in 2011. But I first have to get the OK form my Esperanto sponsors, before my plan will become definite. Johannes said that he wants to think about the topic what he could do best in that period. My next step will be that I will speak about the topic with my Esperanto group end of August.

I WILL RECEIVE A NEW COMPUTER WITH "OPEN OFFICE" INSTALLED

By the end of this week I will receive a new laptop. The special language related feature will be the open source program "OPEN OFFICE". My friend will download foreign language options for "Open Office" which enable me to read all the menues and buttons and the help function plus the spelling control in several foreign languages.

He will install the following languages for my "Open Office" program:

- Dutch
- English
- German
- French
- Italian
- Spanish
- Esperanto (yes, you can change the menues into Esperanto as well!!!)
- Turkish
- Danish (is not available yet, I want to have it installed, when it gets released)

As soon as I have my new computer, I will explain in my log, how you can change the "Open Office" working language. Once all these language options are installed, it only takes a few clicks to change form one language to another.

I find multilingual computer knowledge very useful!

I have Open Office 2.0 installed with a Danish hyphenation and Danish spelling on one of the computers at my Office. I faintly remember that I downloaded those Danish modules from the internet and installed them myself, but that's several years ago so I can't remember the details. Get your friend to look at this homepage which has the relevant modules ready for download, he will know what to do with them.

I work in an organisation that prefer that we use MS Word, so I never actually use OpenOffice for anything, but it is undoubtedly a fullblown Office suite with a lot of nice features, - you won't be disappointed.

Iversen, thanks for the link with the Danish features for Open Office, we will deal with this website of Open Office within the next few days. I will post some explanations for the other Open Office LANGUAGE PACKS here in my log.

TECHNOLOGY WEEKEND TO COME

I will not only receive my new laptop and get an introduction into the usage of Windows Vista and Open Office but I am also planning to start with the usage of MP3 - files this weekend. I have never used MP3 - files, because I haven't got a MP3- player. My experiences with a mobile CD-player for language CDs are a bit negative, because such a device can break easily when it is carried around a lot, because it's mechanical inside. So I definitely want to step over to the usage of a mobile MP3- player. I will buy one tomorrow and I need it for Turkish language audios and I have already saved a lot of Spanish LingQ - MP3 files on my old computer. Both I want to carry around with me every day so that I can listen to both languages on the move. My friend will explain to me how such an MP3-player functions, because I have no experience with it. Generally I am very interested in modern technology and I am willing to take notes, if everything is explained to me.

CHANGING LANGUAGES IN OPEN OFFICE

To change the interface language of Open Office take the following steps:

- Extra / Tools
- Opties / Options
- Taalinstellingen / Language Settings
- klick on (+)
- Talen / Languages
- (rechts / to the right) Gebruikerinterface / User Interface

I changed the user interface from Dutch to English and it works!

Unfortunately, we can't get the spellchecker of Open Office operational. I have already installed some language libraries for languages as Esperanto, Italian and Danish (Turkish is not available!!!), but Open Open Office doesn't carry out the spellchecking in these languages.
