Ich hatte heute eine spezielle Erfahrung mit der Anwendung der türkischen Sprache in der Realität. Und zwar war ich in einer Dönerbude und bestellte bei einem Dönerci, bei dem ich öfters Kundin war, einen "Peynirli Börek" auf Türkisch. Der Dönerci verstand genau was ich wollte und gab mir das Richtige, sagte dann aber auf Deutsch zu mir: "Dafür habe ich nicht 30 Jahre lang Deutsch gelernt, dass jetzt die Deutschen mit mir Türkisch sprechen." Ganz schön der Hammer! Ich erwarte noch mehr Reaktionen dieser Art. Aber trotzdem, ich MUSS die türkische Sprache in der Praxis anwenden. Hvor længe bruger du på at lære et nyt sprog? How long use you on to learn a new language? Hvorfor vil du lære latin? Why will you learn latin? Thank you for the Danish hyperliterals, Amoore. I have to reply in English because I started re-learning Danish last week. I had Latin as a school language and I try to read a scientific article in Ephemeris in Latin from time to time. But I have only some passive reading knowledge in Latin. 10 languages is my goal and I will have about 30 years time to work on the knowledge. To learn a language - besides Esperanto - I need many years. Self-Study is very new for me, I have done only language courses all my life. I don't know this book of Barry Faber. I have my own way of learning adapted on my interests and abilites, I do not orientate so much on other polyglots' methods.

Hello again.
I've checked your Danish to Turkish sentences. København'da hoş geldiniz! Here, you must use dative case when using with hoş geldiniz (wellcome). Just like in English: "Wellcome to København" So it should be dative as: "København'a hoş geldiniz! Danimarkaca konuşubilirsiniz? The verb here needs to be retouched. The structure for konuşmak verb for your sentence: konuşmak: to speak konuş: speak konuş-a-bil: can speak konuş-a-bil-ir: (SBJ) can speak konuş-a-bil-ir-sin: you can speak konuş-a-bil-ir-sin-iz: you (polite) can speak And Danimarkaca konuşabilirsiniz is actually plain sentence. If you put a question mark (emphasis) at the end, it becomes a question sentence as a way of speech. The proper form asking this question is: Danimarkaca konuşabilir misiniz? Burada anahtardır. Buyurun. The concept here is different than the Latin-based languages. "Here is the key" phrase can translated to Turkish like: Anahtar burada(dır).
