VHS DANISH COURSE
It's three weeks to go until the UNIVERSALA KONGRESO in Denmark. Today I received the hotel confirmation of UEA per e-mail. I am almost counting the days and can't wait for my holidays/vacation to begin.
Yesterday I had my Esperanto-group in D. Afterwards I went to the building of my Danish course, but both doors were closed, so I couldn't get in. This was not the first time that I had trouble to get into the building, so I could only return home without having a Danish lesson.
With my Danish self-study I am busy with Unit 11 of "Einstieg Dänisch". Today at work I had the opportunity to study my Danish vocabulary there.
QUOTE FROM IVERSEN'S LOG:
"DA: Og herudover brugte jeg tre timer på at afskrive og indscanne postkort fra medlemmerne af min rejseklub til vores hjemmeside."
I just read this sentence in his log yesterday and I could understand every word of it. This proves that my understanding of Danish has made progress!

SELF-STUDY DANISH
I am busy with Unit 12 of my textbook "Dänisch Neu" and I have dealt with packaging and with fractions. The examples of this I give on my blogwebsite.
Danish: Packaging / Verpackungen / verpakkingen
Danish: Fractions / Brüche / breuken

MY VHS DANISH COURSE
We were three people today in the Danish lesson and we worked on Unit 9 in our textbook and workbook "Vi snakkes ved". The main topic of this unit is the tense which the Danes call "perfectum". This tense is equivalent to the English tense "Present Perfect" and therefore different in it's usage from the German tense "Perfekt". Therefore you have to be alert when translating from German into Danish and pay attention to the usage of the correct tense. Danes often use "imperfectum" when Germans use "Perfekt".
Just one example:
Germans say: "Gestern habe ich Hausaufgaben gemacht." (Perfekt)
Danes say: "I gâr lavede jeg lektier." (imperfectum)

IMPORTANT DAY = THIS THURSDAY
Thursday will be a most important day not only because it's the day of my Danish course. I will make a my first attempt to get an official permission for my trip to Kopenhagen. If not possible on this day, I will make a second attempt next Monday.
So I need a dosis of luck!

MY VHS DANISH COURSE
Tusind tak to glossia.passion and Iversen for the moral support! It was too early to get the permission today, so I will have my second try on Monday before I go to work. Fortunately, there are no reasons to refuse the permission, so my chances are good.
This evening I will attend my Danish course. The weather is bad, so I hope that there will be more pupils than me alone. (With only one pupil our teacher would cancel the lesson).
I was lucky that we were two pupils in the lesson. We finished Unit 9 of our workbook and did a lot of listening and reading exercises. It was an excellent and very varying lesson. The grammar topic was still the "perfectum" and it's trigger words like "nogensinde" (= jemals), "aldrig" (= nie), "altid" (= immer) etc. which show you that you have to use this tense. We also had to write short texts by ourselves, so I had good writing exercises as well. I would wish to have more of such fun lessons.
