Indeed, I just pointed that out because IMHO Russian has a
grammar structure harder to produce in real life speech than the other languages I
learned so far, of course, taking Portuguese (and English) as reference. That means that
I write Russian much better than I speak it, because when writing or chatting I have time
to think, but when speaking I still can't decline all the nouns and adjectives that
quickly in my head, and I sometimes just use the nominative form, even though it's wrong.

That's true for everyone, probably.
Russian is not objectively harder than other languages, they are just more similar to
yours. For example, I can't create the correct French verb forms in speech due to the
polipersonal conjugation.

Sure, that's why I said "taking Portuguese (and English) as reference". I'm sure Russian cases wouldn't be that hard for a Czech or a Polish person.

Half an hour of flowing conversation (and over 85% comprehension too) - that's great news about your Russian! Despite any initial reservations, it sounds like you've made excellent progress this year. I think the next step in 2013 is for the both of us to start speaking more at home in Russian with our better halves. Good luck mate! ;)

Great improvements! I envy you your ability to just go out and talk to people in Russian. I get paralysed
sometimes, and do not speak Russian until I am really mad about something. Good luck in the new year!

Привет fabriciocarraro! It sounds like you've already made great strides in Russian, and
your speaking ability is very impressive. I don't think I could last a minute, let alone
20 minutes. Are you able to read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" at your current
level? I look forward to your updates :).
