For a collective challenge, we could write a short story together.
Taking turns to write just one sentence each to start with.
We could write about anything and see what emerges!
Marya could help correct us.
What do the Bisons think?

We could do that. Or we could each make a point of posting at least a few sentences in this thread in Polish
per week . . . I guess that wouldn't be so much of a collective challenge though.

Chung, i'll have a look at your question in the evening:) how about challenges? Do you feel like writing a
short story here? :)

To be honest, writing sentences in turns as suggested by Mooby isn't a bad idea, although I'm not sure if I could add much of value.
Another idea for a challenge or group activity is to check out what Teams Viking and Kofola are doing. The Czech one seems like more work for Majka, but I do like the idea of an assignment based on an authentic text due every two weeks or so with questions testing reading or listening comprehension. The native speakers would then check our answers.

Czesc! I would like to join Team Żubr!
I started learning polish when I got a bit tired with learning french and later on found that it was to much for me learning two languages simultaneously so I dropped french for sometime and focused on polish. That was like 4-5 months ago! I am very modest about polish knowledge and would call myself a novice in it!
Dziekuje!
Note: Also signing up for Team Romulan for further french studies!

Cześć Wilke!
Of course you can join.
I have added your name to the list on Page 1. So now you just have to create a log (include 'TAC2013 Żubr' to the title of your log).
You are now a bison.....witaj!
[Although with a name like 'Wilke' I'm a little suspicious; wilk is Polish for wolf!!]

We're over half-way through January and there are 3 members yet to start their logs, as far as I can tell:
meramarina (but she was hit by the floods, so that's understandable)
stanwv
Wilke (just joined today)
I'll be updating my log tomorrow.
Thanks to Chung for his suggestions for a group challenge, I confess I've not checked out the links yet but will do so tomorrow.
Any shy bisons out there reading this - please feel free to contribute / say hello / let us know you're alive etc.!
Pozdrawiam.
