You can find Asterix translated into several German dialects. I don't know whether it is boyish or girlish though - maybe it is more like nerdish...

How about Tintin? The 20+ episodes have even been dubbed into Mandarin (I know - I have them), so I think they're available in German. Who knows, maybe you'll like Suske und Wiske.

I have one, of course. They're halarious, even the copyright notes are written in dialect. There are seven books made in Hessisch.

Tintin and Asterix are on my stage 2 list, as they contain some specialized vernacular.

I will check out Suske und Wiske.

Boyish or girlish? More Gaulish I would say....

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Having said that, I read Asterix und die Goten when I wasn't all that good at German. Yes there's the occasional odd word, but it wasn't all that hard. And in addition, when the Goths speak the script is in gothic, so you get used to reading gothic script, which you might need for old German books.

I would love to read Asterix auf Deutsch, since reading them in English really helped me
boost up my English skills, but it's really difficult to get them (or any German books
for that matter) here in Seoul.

No choice but to go scavenging around second hand bookstores again..

I'm not sure there's much of an German-speaking audience for comics like this, maybe there's a small minority, but why would Germans want to read a comic where they're (stereotypically) portrayed as the enemy and getting blown to bits?
