Yes, I agree: snobs are those whose relations are determined by those results, it's exactly the mensa's description because they are together in the snobs' club, friends with the other snobs and think "we are absolutely great, fantastic, we have such high IQ we are the best, and the others can't be in our club". Exclusivity, that's what I hate, and the arrogance which go together with that to think that they are better and more worthful. |

Your definition makes the Olympics a snobbish endeavour. Every Mensa member I've met was very simple and down-to-earth, so I can't agree with your analysis.

If polyglots aren't arrogant, why should then the members of Mensa be arrogant? I wouldn't see any reason for this. And I wouldn't expect such behaviour either. If somebody is a member of Mensa and I am not, where is the problem? If some people are polyglots and others are not, where is the problem? Every human being is different and it is wellknown that having a high intelligence doesn't make life easy.

If somebody is a member of Mensa and you're not fasulye, it's not a problem, not exactly, but it mean that the person's a snob. Probably the person feel himself more important and better, because he's in the exclusive club and you're not. I disagree and find such opinion wrong and nasty.

How is it a better attitude to simply and generally declare that all Mensa members are snobs? Are you not declaring you are a better person for NOT being a member? That is equally "wrong and nasty".

No, I am not declaring this at all (that I'm a better person for not being a member). But I'm not a member and will not be, therefore I'm not a snob like those mensa people. I'm not wrong or nasty. |

I don`t know where this disdain of Mensa members originated, but I can genuinely say that it mirrors nothing I`ve ever experienced.
