I hope that you had a very glædelige Jul LOL!!!
I've a game for you. I received the New Testament of the Bible in a language which is not French or Latin. You have to guess in which language is it.If it's very difficult I will give to you a little bit help if you want, but first you have to guess :-)

MY LANGUAGE ORIENTED CHRISTMAS PRESENTS
EN: I would like to present you four of my Christmas presents, because they are language oriented:
- In 1996
2. Cultuur (bruin): Voorbeeld:
Met welke Franse schilder woonde Van Gogh samen? - Met Paul Gaugin
3. Geografie (groen): Voorbeeld:
Waar komt in Nederland de rivier de Roer in de Maas? - bij Roermond
4. Sport (oranje): Voorbeeld:
5. Natuur (blauw): Voorbeeld:
Welke plant staat rond kerstmis in bloei? - De kerstroos
6. Algemeen (violet): Voorbeeld:

Darum muß ich mir selbst so was besorgen.

Let me guess: Koine Greek? Aramaic?
Btw. my sister had got hold of an ecological Xmas tree for my mother, and we filled it up with tinsel from the bottom to the top during the weekend before Christmas. The most characteristic Christmas decoration in Denmark is the 'julehjerte' (Christmas heart), and apart from those on the tree the three of us have put approx. 250 hearts in my mother's house one month ago. There are lots of homepages that describe this phenomenon, but almost exclusively in Danish. H.C.Andersen is credited with the first Christmas heart in Denmark, but in a primitive form without a handle. As you can see below there are many kind of hearts, and it is almost a science to make the most complicated of them.

Wieso leeger? - "Wat?
Difficile certe fuit televisionem spectare, at succedit.
-------
I have now survived Christmas once again. I have visited my mother who hasn't got Internet, so I haven't been able to write anything here for a few days. As mentioned earlier I went to Flensburg for a bit of shopping and returned with a few books, including 6 in Low German (which I have to keep alive through books because NDR for some time has chosen to ignore this priceless cultural heritage). I have already read two of them, one about Christmas stress (!) and the other a collection of jokes from the region, which has been sold in more than 100.000 copies: "It could have been worse" ("Det ku' ha' været værre" in Danish) by Eduard Edert. How? Well, I'll tell you. Hannes Martens said to Emil Feddersen: "Have you heard what has happened in Mill Street .. Y'know that pretty newly-wed girl Amanda? She had another man on visit, and they were sitting on the sofa when her husband came home. When he saw that he shot both of them with a revolver". "Det ku' ha' været værre" said Emil. "What d'y'a mean, how could it have been worse, they are stone dead both of them? "Det ku' ha' været værre" said Emil again, "Last week I was sitting on that sofa with Amanda".
As I have mentioned above my Mother doesn't have an internet connection - but I nevertheless brought my portable computer for Christmas (where I also have scanned pictures from her travels, but more from my my own peripaties). With my mother and sister together in the same room it can be hard to watch television, but I did manage to se all 11 parts of Planet Earth (dubbed in German), 6 programs about the royal families of Europa, lots of programs from German zoos, one program about the Swiss circus Knie (dubbed in standard German!) and so forth. We didn't see much Danish television, because both DR1 and TV2 are dumbed down to suit the morons - DR2 is marginally better, but my mother's digital converter was broken so we had to borrow one one her neighbour Astrid, - who also is noteworthy for her pure end delightful Southern-Jutish dialect. That's quite rare nowadays, where most people - me included - speak some kind of bland standard television-Danish based on inept low-Copenhagenish.
