You have a perfectly valid point. Clearly we were looking at the question from two opposing sides: I was trying to make it easy for the average forum member to see us as the Scandinavian team. You, on the other hand, were hoping to induce them to open their eyes to the beauty of Nordic culture. You’re evidently more optimistic than I am about our capacity to wake people’s interest on the subject.
As I said, I’m perfectly happy with any of the names suggested so far.

Sleipnir is a central figure in Nordic mythology - it's the horse Odin rides on. Anyone
who is even slightly interested in Nordic mythology will understand that reference.

Here are a few Danish resources that I did not see in the above list. If they don't suit your criteria for inclusion in the main list, just ignore them - no big deal :)
Courses:
Duolingo
Speak Danish (fee)
Skapago (fee)
These publishers offer educational material, but some of the offerings are better for self-teaching than others. Admittedly, shipping outside of Denmark is quite expensive.
Alfabeta
Synope
Native Media:
Sproget.dk: Language rules and more
Grammatik for dummies: Grammar Videos
Vejr: DMI: weather
Studieportalen Grammar and much more
Ebook / Audiobook sellers:
Arnold Busck
SAXO
Pottermore (Harry Potter)
Film Sales
Laserdisken

I am fine with either of the proposed names, even though I lean more towards "making people
curious" about the Scandinavian culture. But maybe I am biased. :)

I will wait for a few hours for the name issue to be settled, I assuming we're pending more towards Sleipnir, may I assume so? Meanwhile, our
January Challenge
Tell us why you are studying your Scandinavian language(s) and how do you plan to make progress in 2015.
Veterans can add up what was the most interesting book/text/film/TV show you read last year in your studied Scandinavian language.
Beginners feel free to write in English. Veterans, please add English translation to the texts you write for the challenge, so that others can follow.

A heads-up for the learners of Norwegian here:

tungvannet starts today.
Here is the trailer: http://tv.nrk.no/serie/kampen-om-tungtvannet/KMTE40003813
Looks interesting.

I have a more than slight interest but I didn't know that :/
one more thing is that it's a relatively long name...
