I can never decide between Japanese or Mandarin. I love the tones of Mandarin, but Japanese holds more overall appeal to me. A lot of what I like about a language is the writing system it uses though, and this is what initially attracted me to these languages :)

I seem to be one of the few people who don't particularly like the Romance languages. I really enjoy the sound of Eastern European languages, especially Russian and Lituanian. I also really love the Scandinavian languages, of which Icelandic is probably the most beautiful. Finnish and Persian would also be up there for me.

Persian, I love how it sounds, I like Hindi a lot too.
I'd have to say that the two languages I'm studying the most (Russian and German) are probably two of the worst sounding languages to me, lol.

(even though I am totally rubbish at it.)
Sounds nice and elegant.
Plus the coolness of the French helps to raise the status of their language.
Italian is my runner-up.
