So let me in a somewhat convoluted way express my gratitude to Reineke for keeping me in this forum by creating the TAC project. It provoked me to start something that really is a multilingual blog rather than a logbook in the strict sense (and even less a TAC log), and the urge to keep this thing running is - or has been - a powerful incentive for me to stay here. |

Your blog is quite the centerpiece out of the whole bunch. Such fabulous interaction. You not only discuss language, but art and literature as well! I'm glad it's here. even if I don't benefit from it directly, I can admire your work.
and thanks for the TAC, Reineke!

I also give my points and special thanks to Reineke for creating the TAC. Without the TAC and Sunja's recommendation to take part in the TAC, I would never have created my own language learning log. And it's really fun to work on such a log and to interact with interested readers. And for my language learning it's beneficial.
There would be nobody who could replace Iversen. He is really unique as a contributor with his his scientific topics and his analysis of polyglottery and with all of the languages he uses. I wouldn't know where to get this special intellectual input from. You Tube and LingQ are also important for me, but they don't cover all of my topics and I cannot use all of my languages there, as I can do it by participating in Iversen's log.

Is it possible to nominate myself?
I haven't really contributed that much but I helped an old lady accross the street once before robbing her.
If not then I'll just go for Iversen.

I'd like to put a word in for the newbies whose questions, all too often dismissed with an off-hand "search the archives", remind us how many possibilities we've either already ruled out or never considered.
It's easy to forget what it was like when we started and get narrowly focused on our own little routine, and I'm as guilty of that as anyone.
And also anyone who says "sorry, what do you mean", because it's also easy to forget that other people can't understand your advice if you don't write it clearly. (And again, I'm as guilty of this as anyone.)
