The single member who is still on this forum who helped me the most is Fasulye. Her constant encouragement and assistant was one of few driving forces that makes me keep my log.

I also want to thank GoldFibre, although he isn't on the forum now. He's determination and discipline with Korean language has been a motivation and a reality check for me: "If he can do that with Korean, why can't I do it with German?"

I don't know where Sapphire is too, but she/he has been really helpful in the beginning of my German log. I hope she comes back soon, and nothing dangerous has happened to her.

glossa.passion is another member who I'd like to thank for helping me in my German journey earlier on.

I also want to thank Bao, Sprachprofi, Jar-ptitsa, reineke, and any other members who have helped me. I'm sorry if I forgot anyone's name, but it's 3.30 a.m. here, and I'm not in my normal state...

I think Iverson was the most inspiring for me , his dedication is remarkable and he was a great role model for me especially when he responded to every single question I asked .
so THANK YOU

Many members strike me as helpful – some for providing helpful links or advice, others for contributing in their own way to interesting debates. One thing that I think is even more helpful than specific information or advice is simple support and motivation – there are a number here who are extraordinarily supportive, but perhaps I may take the liberty of nominating ExtraLean as one of the most supportive – he is often first off the mark in welcoming new members with a cheery word or two, which is when it counts the most, and is good for a quick kick in the pants when it may be needed from time to time.

Also helpful, though unintentionally, is a long-absent poster some of you may remember, Jozen-Bo, who is apparently still squirreled away somewhere working in secret on his unusual Mind Portal experiment, with the promise of returning after achieving a level of success so great that “stockbrokers will drop turds in their pants.” http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?T ID=11384&PN=0&TPN=1     This has set a standard of achievement so high for me that I continue to strive in my own non-mindportally way for my own high level of success.

Stockbrokers, consider yourself warned.

Check out ZJJ'a "Open House" for Chinese questions! (Multilingual Lounge)

If this isn't helpful I don't know what is, and furthermore there are a lot more Chinese learners than fluent speakers on the forum -- which makes his offer to help all the more valuable.

I know I haven't been here for very long but I've lurked for quite a bit...

This is by far the friendliest forum I have ever been on, everyone is respectful and cordial.

So...

Thank you to every member here! It's people like you that make the world go around!

Personally my thanks go out to each and every member which continually updates their language learning log, whether they be TACers or not. It's knowing that there are a page and a half of people that have done enough work to post about which helps motivated me to do a little bit more on my own.

So thank you to those of you who do so.

And of course, my overlord and master: the 'administrator' for his nifty website, and his uncanny moderator picking powers.

Thom.

I vote for Cainntear, if only for the hilarious comment about the dead vulture! It wasn't helpful, but it was damned funny
