Hello;
Anki seems to fail in my phone for some unknown reason it keeps giving error "forced stop" so i need another application for android ( ideally free ) i just wanted to ask what you guys have tried so far and can recommend? 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Are you using the marketplace version? If so, you may try one of the alternate versions and see if one of those works any better:
http://code.google.com/p/ankidroid/downloads/list Also, I'd recommend letting the coders of AnkiDroid know the details of your issue, so they can try to track down the cause. You can click the "Issues" link at the top of that URL above to create a new issue on their system for your problem. I've not actually used any SRS application for Android other than Anki (since I was already using Anki quite heavily on my computer before the Android version came out), though, so I can't really answer that part of your post. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

I agree that Anki is worth getting to work. I occasionally get a Forced Stop error while
syncing, but it is without ill effect (I simply press Sync again and it tells me it's already done, no problems). There are other problems I have with it: Its Arabic support is shaky, in that it drops certain letters and doesn't let you edit on the fly, but the benefits outweigh the problems.
