#htlal user is sorta like a team. there's no direct connection between the forum and twitter. your twitter username will be on the list, yes.

I've decided to pick Mandarin for this 6week challenge for i wanted to learn it for ages. I am an absolute beginner to the language and we will see how far it goes. I aim to have at least 1 hour of study everyday. And if i like the way it goes i can pick it as my 2nd TL after Italian.

What does multilingual mean? What to tweet if one's target language is Spanish and one studies Portuguese with materials written in Spanish?

I've used the #multilingual tag when I"m using materials that are simultaneously in several languages, such as when I am watching polyglot videos on YouTube.

I don't like the #multilingual tag as it isn't informative enough for me (I won't
remember which languages where really involved). If I use two languages at the same time
I divide this time and tweet about both (or more) languages separately.

I use it for when I for example listen to music for an hour, and there are songs in various languages and I can't be bothered to count the minutes separately. Or especially when I read twitter and practically all tweets are in a foreign language, but again, I don't want to count 20 secs reading in portuguese, 30 seconds in Italian etc XD i just estimate the time i spend on twitter.

It's also good as an "other" tag, if you're dabbling in a minority language or something.

So when does this challenge end exactly? On the 12th? The last time the date was different than I expected that's why I'm asking.
