Yes, I have been thinking about the 6 week challenges for next year. Although I am somewhat uncertain about what will be going on in my life next year there is nothing wrong with planning ahead. My list (for now) of languages for the 2012 6 Week Challenges:

February - Thai or Finnish, most likely both.
May - Polish
August - I know I will be attending a family reunion sometime in July or August, but I want to learn French
November - Undecided. I am considering German, Icelandic, Hungarian, or Russian.

My plans for August and November could, and probably will, change. The plan for February is almost set, but only studying Polish in May is absolutely certain.
I now think that for the August 6WC I will learn Finnish. December is still undecided, maybe Polish again or French but who knows.

I'm thinking I might tackle Portuguese. I've been listening to a lot of Brazilian music
recently, I can't help but want more and more to learn this language. It has been on my
list for some time, I know I want to know it one day and I think the day has come :).

I think I have enough on my plate at the moment with

Super Duper Challenge French 11 films 4 books 3 conversations 8 pieces of writing
Adrian McDermott (@maydayayday) Advanced Mega Challenge Spanish 7 films 8 books 15 conversations 12 pieces of writing
Adrian McDermott (@maydayayday) Super Challenge German

but since I might be working across the EU in a couple of months perhaps I ought to .... ..... ..... I will of course have to get up earlier and stay up later. Decisions, decisions - Scandinavian or Slavic ?

The sensible choice should be to revive my Russian but when have I ever made a sensible choice?

I am thinking I should do Italian or German. My German is probably a high A1 and my Italian is about an A2.

I really want to start Russian, but I promised myself I would finish the Advanced Assimil courses for Spanish and French before I start Russian, so . . .

I would really like to break down the walls of Croatian. I can't seem to get anything to stick, and it would be really cool to be able to understand more of what my Bosnian friends say. Especially when they are talking about me!

But if my Assimil Portuguese course comes in the mail in the next week (it's on back order now), then I will probably do that, since I know I would make rapid progress once I actually start studying it.

I think I understand how it works and would also like to take part. Still need a twitter account, though. My choice for August would be Czech and probably for November as well - unless I make so much progress until then that Czech doesn't qualify anymore because I'm to advanced .... not very likely, just a dream of mine :-).

Well I'll be cheerleading regardless of your choice, but especially if you pick Portuguese or Croatian ;)
Are these your plans for August btw? Or November as well?

I'm doing Spanish in August as Spain won the Euro :D For November the most sensible decision would be to do a language where I need most catching up in the Super Challenge, this will probably be Danish or Croatian... (or Romanian but I don't think I'll do a 6WC in it). But I might also do Belarusian and even Swedish seems like a nice idea dammit. If I happen to get a super awesome German prof in September and be super excited about it I might even do German, but I don't think I will.
